GTA4 is gonna sell regardless, but with the holiday season upon us, the sales could've been phenomenal.

Same thing goes for SSB Brawl. The game is gonna have amazing legs, but there are so many gamers that only get games on Christmas and birthdays......still, their absence is allowing other games to get some much deserved attention.

I agree with Haze and maybe PS Home?

If Haze was released this holiday season, no one would have even realized it except for the few that were keeping up to date on it ever since it was announced. Everyone else would have been like "whats Haze?" assuming they somehow heard it being mentioned. It looks too much like all the other FPS games to distinguish itself.

Wouldn't a delay just increase the anitcipation, thus gaining more hype, which would then lead to more sales?

SSBB will sell for months at high levels regardless of when its released

Devil May Cry 4 could see decreased interest, I think had it come out for the holiday season it could have taken much of Assassin's Creed's market share.

Brawl will pass 7-8 million worldwide. mark my words.

Isn't Home supposed to be free?

SSBB, GTA4.. 2 titles that will sell well regardless of the season because they have proven it'self as a brand.
Haze on the otherhand is a new IP. Other new IP's would sell far less in the low-season. Just compare Assassins Creed with Bioshock releases. Bioshock would have higher sales if it had launced on a better date.

I think N.I.G.H.T.S. is going to have far less sales than it could have due to the bump. Releasing 7 days before Christmas is better than nothing but it could do better once word of mouth spreads. (There is also a rumor floating around claiming it will get bumped into next year)
