Around the Network

PSP 3000 $169

16 GB Sony Memeory Stick $56.67

Given that the pictures of the games on the cover are the ones that come with it:

LittleBigPlanet $19.96

Socom: Fireteam Bravo 3: $23.50

Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters: $10.99

Total Spent: $280.12 buying everything directly from Amazon as new, and buying a Sony memory stick (I'm not sure if off brands are compatible?)

PSPGo: $199.99...please stop whining people

Personally, I have a psp, and I think the problem is a lot bigger than Nintendo just having the handheld market or anything like that.  I'm going to say I've put a total of 20-25 hours into my psp in about 3-4 years that I've had it...that's it (Beat Twisted Metal: Head On, played a bunch of poker, and played a bunch of Ratchet and Clank, also played some Tiger Woods, Hockey, Ape Escape...hmm can't think of anything else).

I think the problem, despite it being pretty sweet that it is possible, is that they are putting games meant to be played on a big screen on such a small screen (this is my opinion people)...while my Ratchet and Clank game is pretty legit, and Twisted Metal: Head On was pretty fun, I really regret that my family ever bought the Hockey game, as it is just way too small of a screen for a legit sports game, the same goes for Tiger Woods.  Ape Escape was also pretty fun with what I've gotten out of it, as well as Poker.

What I'm getting at is when I'm looking at the games that come with the PSPGo for instance, I want nothing to do with a shooting game on a PSP...it is just too small for me.

I will say though, the more I keep seeing these articles, I'm being more and more tempted to actually charge the psp up and start playing it again...just not the sports games...there are some cool games that I think would be fine with the small screen.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

It's a good deal for new owners, but for people that already have a PSP not so much, plus this year we had some sweet special edtions like the Ys 7 and Lunar, so at least for me the PSP-3000 is a way better option.
