Forza opened last year with 250,000 first week sales

GT5 currently has 250,000 pre orders in the Americas alone 

How how much will GT5 get in its first week and beat Forza 3 first week sales

And will GT5 beat forza 3,  3 million total sales in one year 

i say that the first week sales will be around 1-1.5 million considering that Fifa 11 had basically no american pre orders on PS3 and sold 1.3 million, so the PS3 can pull 1-1.5 million first week sellers. dont know how big the pre order numbers were in EMEAA were most sold so hard to compare to GT5. but yea GT5 will crush forza sales and will beat forza total in 6 months or even less.

Range is too shallow in the poll, should have options for 2 and 3 million.

Forza is just more entertaining for some than GT, the fact we haven't had a GT this gen makes it all the more natural to think the franchise is better till proven otherwise.  There is no GT game released that is better than Forza 3 at the moment, GT5 should rectify that.

nothing stopping them, but what else to compare GT5 with?

they are both exclusives, but racing sims just because on is on xbox and ps3 doesnt mean console/game attacks

sure make a K3 vs Halo reach thread, they are the same type of titles they are what you would compare each other with. Halo would be much bigger since say xbox and they will response Halo

i cant believe people say forza is better when its a 360 clone of GT

Some people have such fragile self esteem, treat everything like a personal attack on their console of choice, though the OP's opinion of disbelieving people who say forza is better than GT wasn't needed.

As slowmo said, the options are too shallow, looking at pre-orders in the US alone ( though pre-orders are not actual sales), I think its unlikely GT5 will have a 1st week of less than 1.5 mil, I personally think it'll get about 2.2-2.5 mil 1st week.

Funny thing is, this thread isn't much of an attack against Forza 3/360 users.

I mean, someone could open a thread about "what precent of Forza's LTD numbers will GT5 sell in it's first week" and having "100%" as an answer.



Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.
