Halo is highly overrated. They are very good games and very well made, but in the end, nothing spectacular.

.. Resistance is nothing like Halo.. you jsut proved how ill-informed you are.
The only games are a ripoff of another FPS is BioShock and Halo.
Halo = Half-Life
BioShock = System Shock

O BTW IMO halo 3 is a fantastic FPS and yes ive played games like half life and bioshock. In terms of single player IMO you are correct and halo is nothing special, but halo 3 mult is another story...
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

umm.. PC games always are better then console...
halo had the most entertaining game mechanics and the best music of any games. On most other counts half life smokes it. But it is a great game

For being a mod, ssj12 makes some of the most biased claims out of anyone. "PC games always are better then console"(sic)? Based on what, exactly? That point could be argued against in hundreds of ways.
