Guess what I talked to one of the guys that worked there today and after he told me Kinect was great it's going to be a whole new experience and I should get it, I said I would not like to, I asked him later why he had asked me such a question and apparently they only have 150 pre-orders for Kinect and the upper management want at least 300 before November Kinect release comes along, I never remember being asked to buy move, so it must be a massive push for Kinect from none other than MS themselves

lol, i think your right, i was in gamestation once and they tried to coerse me into buying the God of War 3 game guide, now thats not a game anyone needs a guide for which is why i got pissed off every time they would change the subject to try and show me the book - to show me 'why' i needed it.

anyway, i think MS have probabily put them into this type of position and will give them some incentive for meeting that number.

I don't know if it's actually happening with Kinect, I haven't had a word of it mentioned to me in EB Games in Melbourne. It is something that I believe does happen though, nearly every time a big release is coming up (MW2, Halo, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, FIFA) they keeping bugging me into pre-ordering. I broke down once and pre-ordered Battlefield and then cancelled it the next day, it kinda works and they took me in my moment of weakness ($100 gift card).

It isn't something exclusive to Kinect.

Same thing happen to me jneul, I went into Game to buy Halo Reach and one of the employees came up to me and said "you should pre-order Kinetic it's the next big thing to revolutionise gaming." I was like O_o Then when I refused his offer he said "I know there's only party games atm but all the latest games are gonna be using it like Gears of War 3" and I was thinking to my self that this guy must be a hardcore Xbox fan boy to even make stuff up to sell it. I obviously didn't pre-order it because I know Kinetic is no where near as good as that guy made it out to be. I couldn't be bothered correcting him though.

Yeah I think somebody who trolls everything Kinect related on other sites is a credible source!

how does a new interface and kinect make x360 better than ps3 seriously lolz, ps3 has move you know and it has hardcore games, kinect has no hardcore games at release, not to mention it does not work as advertised!!

Maybe it's just because they bought a truckload of Kinect and the demand is not crazy like they hoped so they ask their employees to harass buyers who maybe don't know it's coming to buy Kinect.
