Forums - Sony Discussion - Ape Escape for PSone Classic

Now i want this game SO bad on PSone classics, the game was a classic.

Who thinks this should be put onto the PSN store, and more stupid why it isn't there is that the game was made by Sony Japan studios and yet its not on it. it makes me wonder.

Well, the PSP plays all PSOne classics released so far.  All of those games were able to function with the original PS1 controller (No rumble, no analog).  As far as I know, Ape Escape is the only game for the PS1 that made having a dual analog styled controller mandatory.  It won't work on the PSP so I don't see it ever coming to the PSN (lame reason but I still think this is why).

Anyway, there IS a PSP version available on the PSN.  I forgot what it was called, though.  I debated buying it but the thought of Ape Escape with only one analog stick makes me cry. *cries*.  So there ya go.  Hope that helps ya.

I liked that game. I finished it completly 100% and defetead the Evil Creepy Monkey in the space.

Above: still the best game of the year.

For a PS1 game, that looks pretty damn good!  Wonder why I've never heard of it until now.  It must have come out towards the end of the system's lifespan.
