I predict at least one megaton bomb within the next two months

Matt Casamassina is constantly braggin of his knowledge about some of those "megaton bombs" for the Wii but can't obviously tell what they are. I suspect there's a Kid Icarus and a Pokemon adventure coming to the Wii. Castlevania would be cool too.

If it helps you out any, he claimed that Nights 2 and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics were 2 of the "megaton bombs" he was talking about but also added that even bigger games were coming in the near future... I'm not sure if that would really narrow it down but if it follows the trend then the next announcement should be a "historical game"... you know, nights 2 is the "epic return of nights after an 11 year hiatus" and mario/sonic is the "first game to star mario and sonic ever" and so forth... so I believe that the next announcement is likely to follow that trend rather than just be something like "OMG WII IS GETTINZ A GTA GAME" or something...

-Final fantasy XIII 2nd expansion (Like a spin-off too).

-Pokémon adventure.

-Soul caliber IV.

-GTA Wii.

-Castlevania.

-Metal gear solid spin-off/remake/prequel...

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)

Im definitely expecting more love from SquareEnix for the Wii - given their recent devotion to the DS.

Maybe a Kingdom Hearts style game... remember hearing a little while ago that the team is working on a new game similar to Kingdom Hearts - with Disney characters - but not KH3? Also remember a little Disney singing game coming to the Wii - but with little noise made about the mic attachment?

I smell something major brewing between these companies...

...

At this rate, we may be seeing some of the bigger titles coming to the Wii (with their own versions at least) - such a MGS, Devil May Cry, etc. In fact, if the current momentum continues - I'll expect to see *every* big  (non-Sony controlled) franchise land on the Wii at some point.

I would gladly pay out 50 clams for a "Mushroom Kingdom Hearts" myself. :)

Nobody is crazy enough to accuse me of being sane.

my guesses:

  • Soul Calibur IV exclusive
  • Mario Kart Wii
  • Wii Sports 2

Matt Casamassina seems to be constantly talking out his arse and I would take anything he says with a grain of salt. I could predict a huge amount of massive games for Wii myself and then say "look, told you" whenever a new game is announced.

It's pretty obvious that new big games will be announced for the Wii as publishers have been caught with their pants down and are rushing to cash in on its huge success.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

I have seen recently on a lot of spanish forum a rumor of Resident Evil 5 coming to Wii, if this happen(I think is very hard, but it's a possibility) that one would be a very big bomb. It's only a rumor so far, maybe a reality someday.

Doesn't Matter hus, SONY has died this generation, they will have a few diehards, who wont let go (IE, less than the Gamecube last GEN) and developers will port thier PS3 titles to the 360, and start developing for the wii.

Godfather for Wii is MUCH greater than Godfather for PS3, as one example.

So much better that it's a good 1.7% better than the PS2 version's ratings. The reason the PS3 reviews are even lower is the lack of changes to the game from the PS2 version. Still, you may like it a lot more (assuming you played both), but 1.7% isn't exactly a decisive percentage.

I think the predictions of Sony's defeat this generation are greatly exaggerated.

Oh, and congrats to the Wii for getting exclusives. Half of them are mario games but I hope it does well.

One game i'd love to see on the Wii is  a new Monkey Island, not likely I know, but it would be awesome if it did happen
