Its only 20 light years away, so we are talking about a space ship that would have to support several generations of people before they get there.

EDIT:

I did the math and it would take 90,000 years to get there in the fastest space craft ever made (250,000 km/h).  It wouldn't take much to build a space craft faster than that, and when you approach very high speeds Einstein's Theory of Relativity kicks in and times starts to slow down and you approach the speed of light.  So, theoritically a person could travel to this planet in one lifetime, though the time that expired on Earth would be hundreds of years.

It's not a joke.

It's another way to conceive the speed of light.

It literally is as fast as we can go.  At best we can hope to go "around" a lot of space.

There are certain instances under very specific conditions that light's speed is surpassed IIRC.

I propose that we increase the speed of light and we make ships that can travel 99.99994% as quickly as the new speed.
