Forums - Gaming Discussion - Help me find an Arcade (MAME) game

I don`t know what`s it called, but i have played it and remember it.

You start in the sky as a human with a machine gun and a glider. You can go up/down/left/right,so thay glider is for keeping things logical,it doesn`t do anything. You will encounter soldiers from big planes, choppers, etc. You feel 3d,but Arcade machines don`t do 3d. The island is in the background. This is Level 1.

Level 2 is on the ground,on the island, where there i a big house in the ground. Again,it feels 3d,but it`s not. It`s just a great game. You encounter soldiers, tanks, etc and you progress through the road,to the villa.

I can`t remember anything else. Please help me find the name of this great game. I remeber in the left was Double Dragon and on the right was Final Fight...oh,the memories...   :D

Is that shmup or run'n'gun (shooting or platforming plus shooting)? Horizontal or vertical (from left to right or from bottom to top)? What do you mean by 3D? Hardware scaled sprites that creates illusion of depth a-la Afterburner?

The first level is special, because it caches your back and not your profile. It looks 3d,but it`s just an illusion. The soldiers with parachutes and choppers come in front of you while you move across the screen...all of it. That is why i said it looks 3d. It`s no Contra.

The second level is more mainstream, you are on the bottom of the screen while enemies come from the top (tanks,soldiers,etc.). In the extreme up of the screen, you can see a big house (it never moves,it`s a static image. Everithing else...changes (trees, grass, etc).

Hote i helped you...

Is similar the first level perspective to Space Harrier/Afterburner??
