Didn't Molyneux refer to Fable as the 'Zelda killer'?

I think that was actually a periodical, not Molyneux, but about Fable, yup

Since when has R&D, tech Demo's ever count as a true product release?  It's like saying I had the idea for Windows, iPhone etc but I never got around distributing it!!! It's just lame, and besides Nintendo had been working on motion control pre-2001 as seen in their investment and collaboration with gyration inc which they had purchased a small minority share in during that tim "Unearthed: Nintendo's Pre-Wiimote Prototype". Gizmodo  so all that bull about Sony doing motion control before Nintendo is just that...all bull.  Even if Sony was researching motion control before Nintendo (they didn't)  R&D never accounts to anything unless they ACTUALLY RELEASE THE PRODUCT!!!  Just look at the hybrid cars right now Prius is known to mainstream as the first hybrid even though the Big 3 had the blu=print to the technology as Toyota had the kahuna's to release it first!!!

Sony started working on motion contorller in 2001, go look up on youtube and stop trolling

Oh my...please READ MY POST BEFORE RANTING LIKE A LUNATIC, and all will be clear!!!  Nintendo "RELEASED" it's motion tech which they had been working on pre-2001 in 2005-2006 a whold FIVE years before Sony released their copy the Playstation Move. Tech demo's R&D doesn't count unless you release the product therefore Sony imitated/followed Nintendo's footsteps in motion gaming!!!  Also regarding the Move being a bit more accurate, I certainly hope so as it would suck for Sony to release a copy/imitation of a Nintendo's tech with no improvements 5 years after Nintendo released their version!!!

Nintendo's take on motion control is a money-hungry one...Move's take on motion control is more of a catering to fans...offering up another motion scheme to many currently made titles, and some more titles to add to the variety that is on their system for their users...That to me is the main difference between the two...At launch, Way before Wii Motion Plus   released, Wii motion controls were 100% gimmick, and they pretty much stay that way with just about every title with the exception of Wii Sports Resort and the addition of Wii Motion Plus   for that one title...On the other hand, Move has many titles already announced, many older titles getting remapped for options to use the move control scheme...And the controls work the way they're supposed to with no later addon required, feels more like a full product, versus something someone thought would make a lot of people buy it, while keeping costs way way down to make a huge profit....I'm sorry if my opinions aren't shared with yours, but every now and then I like to share them

No problem...as I said b4 I am a Nintendo fan not a fanboy (there is a diff).  My whole gripe and point is with the fanboys that still deny Sony shamelessly copied Nintendo once again( regardless of wheter they both had R&D at the same time); it's so blatantly obvious that only a fanboy could deny it.  I am actually happy that Sony released their imitation as it will push Nintendo to be more creative.  Competition only breeds better results in this industry.  However your point of Nintendo being greedy and "X" company is for the fans is a bit naive.  ALL COMPANIES including Nintendo are really after one thing: PROFIT and to think otherwise is naive and a bit immature.  Sony didn't release the Move for the fans; they didn't even believe in motion control until Nintendo proved it was viable.  They released it hoping to gain profit and weaken their competitor's hold on the market...plain and simple.

Eh, the fact that they copied a general idea is a little mute, as that's the only way industry can grow, like you said.  But I would like to point out that Nintendo for the past few years has been (Seemingly) alienating many of its fans of old and simply satisfying their taste by putting out very low cost rehashed oldschool titles instead of bringing in some new titles with values from the old...that's where I feel that Nintendo is different than Sony...As Sony will go so far as to make an extremely high quality product, sell it at a loss, in hopes that people will eventually jump on the bandwagon as time goes on, with them putting money into many many new franchises in hopes that they catch onto their fanbase.  IMO

What they should have said was..."Kinect is a big step in controller-less gaming" and just not compared it to anything else currently on the market, because the technology itself really isn't like anything else on the market that is currently being utilized...

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

For some genres, maybe.  Removing buttons is more like a big step back for most.
