From NintendoLife:

Metroid: Other M has divided gamers; some love the blend of action and story, others are less impressed. Whatever your thoughts, Metroid creator Yoshio Sakamoto wants to hear them: they could very well hold the key to Samus's future adventures.

Speaking to Gamespot about the continued evolution of Metroid, Sakamoto said it had not been decided in which direction the series would progress.

"We really want to hear the reaction of the players. I'm not necessarily saying that we'll try to incorporate any or all of the opinions of fans, but we do want to hear their feedback. Depending on them we might want to make some significant changes to the future direction of the Metroid franchise, or we might want to go ahead with the direction set forth by Other M."

Speak now or forever hold your peace, Metroid gamers.

keep the current style of gameplay, maybe loosen up the progression, tighten the script, keep Samus' characterization, shorten the cut scene length, either improve or get rid of the scanning. Can't really think of anything else.

Hopefully this thread won't devolve into more fighting...hopefully -sigh-

Where do I go so that he can hear me yelling?

Strangely enough... the thing I keep going back to is the lacking soundtrack in this game. Woo, another remixed Ridley theme. Awesome.

I mean, we've gotten masterpieces like Phendrana Drifts and Skytown from the Prime series. Since then I've always equated Metroid with wonderful music.

Or maybe that's me listening to Metroid Metal all of the time.

If I was going to be cynical I might ask that he allow a small contingent from Team Ninja to make the next game with Retro but in the theme of being constructive.

1. Keep the pretty cutscenes, just improve the content of them.

2. Nunchuk and Wii-mote controls, at least as an 'advanced' option

3. As someone else said; either improve scanning or get rid of it.

4. Allow the use of missiles in 3rd person mode, in addition to weapon selection.

5. Give us some better tunes.

6. Try to incorporate a better sense of powering-up (not sure if people will know what i mean)- was the best in Prime 2

7. Some tough enemies besides the bosses.

Prime 2 had the best suit power-up progression, i think, though i would rate it as a weaker link in the Metroid hierarchy, mostly because you started off having to run like a damn jackrabbit through the dark world, then you could hang around longer, but not too long, and finally you got immunity
