This thing is losing its position in Amazon fast, it doesn't look good at all.

You just hate them baby seals, don't you?

I think it counts as not only clubbing baby seals but also kicking puppies when they actually even lying about the amazon sales.

Still dropping so, no.

Sales position on Amazon has never been a particularly good indicator of anything ...

With that said, I typically find using Futureshop and Bestbuy's websites and checking online/instore availability on a product is a good indicator of whether something is sold out. In the case of Move the $99 package appears to be sporadically sold out but the $400 move bundle is in stock everywhere. While I could be wrong, I suspect this means that move is moving at a moderate pace through existing PS3 owners but there isn't much interest in buying a PS3 for Move.

I think its probably 25% disinterest 75% September/$400. Hopefully Sonys strategy works and by the time November rolls around people will be exposed and even have hands on time in BB or Gamestop with it.

But yeah, at this point its safe to say its pretty much dominated by existing users.

Just noticed on Play's updated sales chart

http://www.play.com/Games/Games/6-/TopSellers.html

That the starter pack has now left the top 10 but the motion controller on it's own has moved up to 2nd place.

Which is interesting because buying the items seperatly would be way more expensive then getting the starter pack. So that maybe means sales for it's 2nd week are mostly people buying a 2nd controller?

Sports Champions has dropped to 8th as well. It is up against some tough games this week in Dead Rising 2, F1 2010, Civilization 300 etc. then the following week it will be up against games like Fifa. Which is guranteed to be a massive seller.

If it can ride out those games and remain in the top 5 or so it will have a good life. If it doesn't then well i can see it falling out the charts fast really.

I agree. I also think it could be people who already had a PSEye and are maybe picking it up for Demos or PSN stuff or even with Sports Champions since its above the bundle but below the Move, so more people are buying Sports Champions than buying the bundle so existing PSEye users have to be buying it then, id guess.

Not that it matters, since its amazon, its falling so fast it hasnt even moved. So maybe it fell so fast it went all the way around the sales sphere and now im just looking again and its where it started.

The starter pack is at number 11, while the ps3 starter pack bundle is at number 19. Probably the sales of starter packs (alone bundle) are comparable to those of the motion controller alone.

Starter pack is £40 in all the supermarkets, Sports champion is £24 aswell.

I don't see how anyone could possibly find that bad as the technology is nothing new and a mediocre Wii Sports knock-off is the best launch title. It's not something people rush out to buy first day either.

Not such a bad title since Wii Sports in itself is mediocre.  It just was first.  I know the Nintendo faithful want to believe that Wii Sports was some sort of immense undertaking, but that is BS.  It was a OK game that showed off Motion Controls.  It sells so well simply because in 2 out of the 3 market it is bundled and has always been bundled.

As for the Move count. Does it really matter? Honestly what you really want to see is an increase in PS3 sales.  If Move/Kinect sells great yet PS3/360 sales dont increase then it just doesnt matter.  I for one believe that both the Move and Kinect will erode some of the Wii market.  Does this change where they all finish? Probably not, but still am improvement is all that both Sony and MS want.

Best selling game of all time = mediocre. You're funny.

Mediocre according to you maybe. Though I happen to think RE5 is pretty mediocre so it's all relative.. I personally think Wii Sports is a great game. It was the only time in a good 15 years I felt like I was playing something genininely new, and the only game in which my whole family from my 5 year old cousin to my 86 year old grandma had fun playing.

Sure it's bundled, but it still did 3.74 million in Japan where it ISN'T bundled, on a userbase of 8 million. Then there is WSR which has sold nearly 18 million and still on the top ten list. Hmm, guess the game must have done SOMETHING right, wouldn't you say? ;)

so quality=sales?

wsr and ws are mediocre games, at its time ws was innovative and something new, but overall it was repetitive and lacked structure

their is a difference btw games which catch the audience and quality games.

ot: move sales arent bad, considering all launch games were casual games the sales are actually pretty good. move is going to be a slow burner, many games are getting its support, and although many good games are going to have its support by november i and all of my friends are going to buy it in q1 2011 when kz3 socom 4 and infamous 2 release.

its good that my country gets the pal version, i would feel ripped off if i was obliged to buy sports champions bundled with my move controller and ps eye.

How else can you measure quality if not through sales? You're opinion? Hate to break it to you but your opinion is not gospel, it's all relative. Sales are not.

Yeah i am sure that in November, having to face the marketing behemoth for kinect, move will perform much better.

if their was a good review system you could have, but their isnt. point is you cant measure, hence wsr and ws arent good arent bad arent amazing or arent neutral.

Being in 3rd place never felt so good
