I recommend Beat Sketcher. It's pretty shallow, but still entertaining. R.U.S.E., Heavy Rain and echochrome ii also showcase Move controls done well, but most of the other demoes didn't do it for me. |
Yeah, I've downloaded it. Actually I downloaded all the Move demos apart from the Quiz Show thing. I just haven't got around to it yet. I'll maybe try and post some impressions when I've had time to play through them all.
As an aside, what's around currently that uses Move and a sub-controller? I got one and now I'm wondering whether it's going to gather dust until Sorcery comes out or I get RE5:Gold.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
I'm broke :( and I really want it noaw!
Oh, my local K-mart is sold out! They had some $40 gift card for bundle purchase, $25 or 20 gift card for Move controller purchase!
If anyone's planning on getting the move, go to K-mart !! >_<

For both the Move and NavCon, you have RE5:Gold, Heavy Rain (only the demo is out now, the patch and Move edition will be out september 22nd if my memory is correct), R.U.S.E., NBA 2k11 (I think it uses the NavCon, but I only know that it has Move controls. It's not out just yet though) and The Lord of the Rings: Aragorn's Quest (again, I'm guessing it uses the NavCon).
And actually, I forgot about TV Superstars, I think that might become a guilty pleasure of mine. I only played it in singleplayer, but it was actually fun, even without the multiplayer (playing alone, it's pretty clear that it's a multiplayer game). Although I think you have to be as silly with it as you possibly can to make the most of it.
We sold a lot of our move stock today. I'll get figures from the texlon 2morrow, but i think we sold out completely of move standalone controllers and starter packs, with the charge packs still left in stock (UK)
I picked mine up at lunch time... I was the first person to buy the move today in that store. they had no move things on display and from what I could tell that had about 4 move controllers, a handful of nav controllers and 3 sports champion bundles. They had mine in the back because I pre ordered but thats all I could see up front. This was at gamestop.

so far look like a bit cold launch... probably marketing is pretty weak :(
Was in Best Buy grabbing my nice new Sony Blu-Ray player (my old one didn't have Bravia Internet TV on it) and spoke to a dude who said "Launch has been pretty poor". I asked what kind of sales they had been having but he wouldn't go into numbers but said "alot lower then our expectations". Now what was also interesting is they didn't have the boxes out in the stores so you can see how many they had. They instead had a little shelf with these little cd cases with Move Starter pack picture on them. You then took them to the front desk and they gave you the box. So because these cd's were then just returned to the shelf after buying it was really difficult to gauge how they had done. Previously they just bung out every box they have into a massive pile and when the pile is gone it is sold out. So a bit different. I wonder if that was a Sony thing or a store thing? Because of that it just appeared like no advertising had been done at all for it. No posters, no demonstration booth, no nothing.
In contrast you look to your right and see this massive poster the size of the world advertising Reach and below it was a sign saying "One legendary Box per customer" but there was no boxes, just a sort of crate that they once stood on.
Which makes me think wtf were Sony doing in releasing it only a day or so after Reach's release? Did they think people would come in looking for Reach and see Move out the corner of their eye, pick up the little CD case, see the £44 price tag and go "feck it i will buy this instead?".

How do you know?
A picture of a midnight launch, I'm hearing things from some workers of certain stores that not many people were coming in to pre-order.
