For all their ridiculous trash talking Turn 10 should still be recognised for pushing PD to up the awesome ante. I think one of the reasons PD delayed GT5 to now is because they wanted to make a bigger distinction between it and FM3.

Artistic competition rulez.

And it will swing both ways. 360 FM fans are going to benefit immensely from GT5 because Turn 10 are going to have to do something incredible with their next FM game.

I got 1 serious driving game last gen, I guess I ought to get at least one this gen. Still gonna wait for it to go platinum though.

Turn10 have pushed NO ONE
I do believe that PD is pushing alone with the help of Sony

Remember FM3 is only 8 car per race, no weather, no night racing, no car editor, no rally, no nascar, no kart
You will tell us that FM3 has damage, I will answer you that you can find dammage in NFS and DiRT too.
Then I will tell you that FM3 has a nice "livery editor" and you will realize that GT5 has not this livery editor !

PD are not tring to kill FM3, they just want to deliver their best.

Xbox360 fan have no choice : go buy a PS3 and play GT5 ...

In a way, this man is actually correct.

I am so fucking stunned over that video..

To counter myself : FM3 is actually the best car simulation you will find on console right now

since their very first iteration, FM serie was a serious competitor to GT

In a way, this man is still actually correct.

COUNTER THAT MAN! :D
(Forza being best now is nothing I will even argue with since I have no love/interest in other racing games than GT.)

That gameplay vid was very cool. It may be just because it's video camera recording gameplay shown on Youtube but I though the chase cam on the GT academy had car suspension responses to turning and braking looking better than this. Nice road spray effects too. Was cool seeing that AI car spin out, the most skillful move of the guy playing was dodging around the spin out.

Might just have to be my first ever GT game.

GT6 will have all of it for every track and every car I imagine. Well maybe not snow in the desert, though they could if they wanted to.

the rain effects in that video are amazing.. did you also notice about half way through when he switches to chase came the right hand side tail light is broken. Still comes on when breaking but while driving the light isnt on while the left hand side is. Looks like they fixed another thing people was complaining about.

Yup, and the spray effect on both the cockpit cam and chase cam is spectacular as well. Honestly, I don't know what else they could possibly add to GT5 at this moment XD

Not that impressed by the snow effects... particularly out of car shots.. and those spectators look like poor 2d in the early shot.

BUT  that rain is insanely good, as the car emerges from the tunnel early on and the rain hits and clears the windscreen... stunning.

And some of the other footage is gorgeous too.

Hope it looks this good in actual gameplay on my TV.

I'm pretty sure the behind the wheel shots are taken from gameplay, although I could be mistaken.

Hopefully they give us 3D trees and spectators in GT6 though

I'm sure you are right.

(PS. I dont think GT6 is that far away (relatively speaking) judging by recent comments)

In 2/3 years time is my guess. I expect the PS4 to be just about ready for release by that time too... So I'm thinking it could end up being a PS4 launch title, with GT6:P being on PS3 for about 6 Months before release of PS4/GT6.

Simply because I doubt Sony want to wait so long to get the biggest IP they have out onto the market again. Having GT release a lot earlier this gen would have helped the PS3 out a bunch during it's early years.

wow nice  :D

yeah,

dont expect 3D tree/spectators

also, remember, only 20% of the cars have "interior view"

not sure exactly what to expect from the others 800 cars

So the other 800 cars don't have cockpit view or wut?
