If they were looking to attract a big crowd, why the hell did they host it at the time they did? It makes no sense!

XD it's a little more involved than that. And so far the best flight time they have been able to come up with was around 3 minutes.
seems like it was Extremely short, not much crowd and didn't have much impact on the crowd.
Probably not best advertising, could have been better.

It seems like it was done mostly for the media. Have it done early in the morning so it makes it onto TV-am first thing.
