I admit to being somewhat surprised - any particular reason you see it doing worse than Wind Waker?

I said the same about NSMB Wii, but look at it now. Like I've said, it's all how they advertise it. If they say it's in the same vein as Galaxy and promote the art-style to the casual crowd, they'll pick it up, along with the Nintendo faithful. It's all down to Nintendo. |
If it is in the same vein as Galaxy 1 and 2, then the next Zelda will definitely not outsell the first one no matter how much Nintendo advertises it. However, you're right that we have to wait and see still. Perhaps the Motion Plus hype will appeal to the non-gamer crowd more than I think. I'm just not personally expecting it to, partially due to the slow momentum I predicted for the Wii.

I see the Wii as a sinking ship at the moment. Software sales keep disappointing me (except for Mario games).
On top of that, Skyward Sword doesn't look that appealing from what I've seen. I can't see it do big numbers. Perhaps it'll break 5 million but that's the max, at least that's how I see it.

Interesting. Into the table you go, then...

I'm surprised that Mario Galaxy 2 is not disappointing you, then. Of course it is still selling very well in general. One thing you have to note for is that Nintendo has definitely shown us very little of Skyward Sword. The fans are ranting about their disappointment from the graphics right now (and maybe some motion haters as well), but by the time SKyward Sword is released I think the game will look ALOT more appealing to us fans. The demo at E3 was barely anything compared to what the final game will be.

To clarify: I don't see the Wii as Titanic, more like a ship that has issues to keep afloat and some people have already jumped off. It's not doomed, but it's heading for trouble (pardon for my crappy english, I'm having a bit of a hangover).

You are being perfectly clear, do not worry.
Is Other M one of the games whose sales are disappointing you?
First week: 1.5 millions
13 weeks: 3 millions

I'm having trouble believing that this is meant with any kind of seriousness
FW - 1.4m
13W 3.8m
LTD 7.8m
Considering Twighlight Princess did fairly well for a release title (When Wii had supply constraints) I believe Skyward Sword has the ability to move quite a larger number of copies.
