Forums - General Discussion - Do you have/want an iPhone?

Free is good.
So, no.

I just need a simple one and compact enough to not bother me when I stuff it down my pants pocket.

It seems celphones are stuffing too many functionalities nowadays. I don't need music, that'll eat up the battery. I don't need camera, I already have my standalone camera. I don't need internet, I have my computers.

It's impossible to buy one that just have the basic functions, so, I ended up paying for all the extras that I will never use.

It is a hardcore game through and through. You will get your ass kicked by bosses. You will be stumped by the sometimes complex, but never overbearing, exploration.

Nah, I prefer Nokia. The iPhone is too damn expensive, and contains loads of features I don't want.

Besides, if my country is good at making just one thing in the world, then you can bet I'm buying it. =P

No and No.

I don't even have an iPod

wow, a lot of no's.

I want an iphone but i still have 10 months left on my verizon contract. there is a good chance i'll switch once my contract is up. the ad is still annoying as hell.

No and No.

I already have the ultimate phone:

iphone is basically an ipod touch with really bad phone features. its not worth the price tag. n95 or w960i are much better in comparison.

Well, if one came my way as say a gift or sumfin, i wouldnt say no, but i would never buy one. Instead of the Iphone i decided to recently buy the LG Viewty; its over 200 quid cheaper, i get 800 more texts and 200 more minutes a month and for less money each month than i wouldve had if i had gotten an iphone. Yeah, the iphone is cool and all, but if you look at the specs...

1. 2 mega-pixel camera... well, a bit dated wouldnt you say? the phone i bought has a 5 mega pixel camera which is wicked.

2. doesnt even support 3g... That may not be such a problem in the USA, but here in the UK and Europe if you dont have 3g, you're sorta dated. So much for "fast internet" and downloads on the iPhone.. my new phone suuports 3.5g, which is nearly as fast as most peoples home broadband connections here.

3. Ipod features... why not just buy an ipod? much cheaper?

umm, i dunno what else to say :P While the iPhone is stylish, there are a lot more phones which are a lot better than it in one respect or another; the N95, the Viewty etc. I just see the point.
