So I just got my Xbox 360 S~ XD; I'm in the world of Xbox now! 

Anyhow, I noticed that it runs....rather hot. Is that like, suppose to happen? XD; It's not loud or anything and I can hear the fan working, but, it's hot to the touch.

yes its normal its doing its job, if it was rather cold then id be woried, if it was really gettin overly hot it would shut off on you so nothing to wory bout

Don't worry, but make sure it's not blocked in anything. If it's on a dresser space it away as possible from the wall.

put some ice cube on top of it, should help with the cooling

Yeah, if it get's too hot it'll turn itself off (pretty rare from what I've heard)

The heat you are feeling (I'm guessing) is coming from the exhaust fan on the top of the console.  The inside of the console actually runs considerably cooler than the older model 360's.  The exhaust fans are just far more efficient on the 360 S.  If you don't feel the heat being blow out of the top of the console then I would be concerned.  Enjoy your new system.
