You haven't been following the news too well, even with such a long time to go they have already announced some new stuff like new weapons and many many melee attacks

One Snow Level (imho the best looking snow level on a FPS to date) and a alien junkyard looking level

just two levels shown and you have this much veriety with outer space level plus a Helghan jungle level confirmed

so with all this info already known with much more to follow, you think crysis 2 which is an fps in a city (how varied and original right?) more appealing?

Snow level looks good but still pretty colorless but a small step in the right direction. The "alien" junkyard level looks exactly like every other industrial setting in KZ2. The "aliens" (Helghast) in Killzone are some of the most uninspired "aliens" ever created. Pretty much humans with gas masks on. Until the outer space level and jungle level are shown its all hearsay so I'll believe it when I see it. As for now you can't deny this looks eerily similar to KZ2. I'm not interested in heavy weapons like a WASP rocket launcher. How is that going to benefit you in MP? Anyone holding a heavy weapon is going to get raped by any good player with a AR. I want to see new Assault rifles and some SMGs. Guns I can be accurate with. Spray and pray is not my style of play. It may be for lesser skilled players. New melees does not make a new game. I will try to hold off judgment till they show more content but for now I already have KZ2 and don't need this so far as its exactly the same.

As for Crysis 2 its completely new to me since I've never played Crysis on PC and Crysis has never  been released on a console. I'm actually interested in how the nano suit technology is going to work in MP.

Either way I may not buy either one because there are alot of quality shooters coming out. Reach, Black Ops, and Gears 3 are already definite buys for me so I might not be picking up anything else anyways. KZ3 and Crysis 2 will have to wow me and Crysis 2 looks more interesting right now.


Unless Helghans take their pets out for a walk 'inside' the base, you won't see any yellow snow or anything...so yeah a snow level = will be white. And again the best looking snow level in an FPS yet imvho

And crysis 2 is new to you cuz you haven't played it? lol that doesn't mean it's gonna provide you with more veriety or even fun gameplay. I heard ME2 is coming to ps3 as well, doesn't mean I think it's gonna give me a better experience just based on that. Silly argument

as for MP, wait a bit and see. They showed Mechs and Jetpacks in use. Also Some of the most fun looking (and brutal Melee) as well. It looked way more interesting that jumping from one building to another which is what we have seen from crysis2 vids so far. New Melees are used to make things interesting and fun, not to make a new game, not sure what that even means.

What shooters you pick up is totally up to you. It's all about personal taste tbh. I for one can't stand Halo, if I did I would be owning a box right now. Gears is good tho but to me I will take KZ over any of those games you mentioned any day.

oh before I forget about the 'uninspired' alien comment. They made them look simillar to us for a reason. There are way way too many ugly aliens who look like they were riped off from Aliens the movie nowadays. GG actually did a good thing by making them so simillar to us. This is the reason why KZ fans sometimes have to ask themselves, are 'we' the bad guys here. This is what makes KZ KZ. It doesn't have to do the let's kill the ugly aliens, they must be bad cuz they are ugly. I hope they stay far from it personally and they haven't dissapointed the fans yet.

So yeah it's up to you really, if you wanna pick it up, if not meh, your loss I guess.

I was thinking he was referring to not on our world alien kinda deal, he did say he played kz2 right? :S

I have Killzone 2. I don't really know the details since the storyline is pretty lame and just play the game to play it.

Nice posting of concept art. The jungle is so dark you can't even tell what it is. As I said when I see actual gameplay of something different then maybe my mind will change. Until then its Killzone 2.5. If I remember right alot of PS3 only owners bashed Halo 3 calling it Halo 2.5. Tell me how KZ3 is a bigger jump from KZ2 than what Halo 3 was from Halo 2....its not. Don't dish it out if you can't take it.

I dont think tuscaniman is looking for evidence which exists to change his mind that apparantly Killzone 3 is not Killzone 3, but that it is infact Killzone 2.5

But yeah dude have fun with another COD and Gears.

It is obviously your right to have an opinion until you see video footage of the jungle, so stick with that. I am really looking forward to Killzone 3, it is actually jaw dropping. The game is just sooo beautiful, by far the best looking game to date on either system. I would still argue that Killzone 2 is the best looking game until now, but my god Killzone 3 has the hot ash and snow blowing around in such detailed environments running silky smooth.

It seriously looks like what I would expect a PS4 game to look like.

It kind of makes me want to try the game in 3D

@tuscan, I would just assume that anyone who doesnt see Killzone 3 as killzone 3 are quite delusional indeed, were we watching the same footage?  If you enjoy games like cod, halo and gears, how would killzone 3 not be interesting to you, especially if you apparently own kz2?  I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I might just have to give you mine because yours appears to be broken.

they certnaly are. look at their ears. They are very sharp. and how come none of them doesnt have any hair at all? they are all bald.

Only thing that comes to my mind is that the life on Helghan changed them somehow. Or maybe they are more advanced type of humans. But than again, they get their ass kicked by ISA all the time
