I lost my last ounce of respect I had for Sony when they came out with this blatant Wii copy.

I LOST MY TEN OUCES OF RESPECT WHEN PEOPLE CALLED IT A COPY DESPITE YOUTUBE OF EVIDENCE FROM OVER TEN YEARS AGO

OK. NINTENDO DON'T GO REVEALING THEIR IDEAS BEFORE THEY NEED TOO. OTHERWISE PEOPLE JUST COPY. SO HOW DO WE KNOW THEY DIDN'T HAVE SOMETHING IN THE WORKS BEFORE THAT???

HOW THE FUCK DO WE KNOW THEY DID? Until you prove Nintendo had a motion controller before 2002, we're just gonna have to stop calling Move a rip off huh?

SUCH A LAME RESPONSE. THERE IS PROOF OUT THERE:

"Sources also indicate that the Wii Remote was originally in development as a controller for the Nintendo GameCube, rather than the Wii.Video game developer Factor 5 stated that during development of launch title Star Wars Rogue Squadron II: Rogue Leader, it had an early prototype of a motion-sensing controller.[6]"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wii_Remote

That game launched in 2001.

at the end of the day it is a copy because they didn't have the guts to release it themselves. On top of that they slammed motion controls and now they cool?

That is in absolutely NO WAY a copy. Can we say that Nitendo copied DVD drive because they didnt want to launch it at the same time sony and MS did? And they slammed gimmicks

I THINK THEY KIND OF GOT FORCED INTO DVD BY DEVELOPERS AS CARTRIDGES WHERE EXPENSIVE. OTHERWISE NINTENDO WOULD STILL BE USING SOMETHING SIMILAR TO CARTRIDGES LIKE FLASH.

DS IS A DIFFERENT STORY AS IT REALLY HAD NO COMPETITION SO DEVELOPERS HAVE NO SAY.

They also slammed 3DS for not using glasses for 3D, and guess what now SONY is making a 3D tv that doesn't require glasses because toshiba are making one.

I seen these before. What is your point? does that look like a Wii remote? or does it look like a stick with a big ball on the end of it that does motion?

The point I am making is they copied Nintendo, because the physical layout is exactly the same. Is it so difficult for your brain to understand that?

They had a motion controller way before wii mote came out. the physical layout doesnt matter at all. How else is REMOTE  supposed to look like??? Have you ever wondered why all TV remotes have simmilar physical layout???????

It's the games that make a platform a success, not the hardware. It seems that move is a great controller, but the games seems to lack "that" feel, at least the ones reviewed. It's a wait and see situation.

This. And IGN said it their selves. The current games don't serve the technology that well, but once the ideas for different games start to come, it will attract more customers and so the hardware will sell more. "Build it and they will come."

All these have something in common : Lack of support, poor hardware. We need to see how the games do for Move or it could be the next 3DO. More so the CDi or Gizmondo.

except move does not have lack of support, so many games coming out for it and as you can see the reviews for it are very good, so the hardware is fine.

The PS camera for Move is USB, so does anyone know if it can be used on computers? (PC) also does the microphone for it work? So I can use Skype, Chat Roulette ect.

I'm pretty sure you can, using an unofficial software, since as far as I know Sony never released a software for PS Eye on PC.

well there was drivers for the eyetoy (original), so i bet sony allow usuage of the move on pc, think how handy it would be to game modellers, it would be far less restricting than a mouse, I think graphic designers really could make use of the move honestly
