Forums - Sony Discussion - Don't expect to experience success when waggling with MOVE.

Not sure about remotely..but it looks like fun...

This is how Motion sensing should be..accurate and some are selling casuals a bit too short here. I assure you many would actually like a bit more realistic nature in 'sports' titles and will do fine with it.

This can be proven by the Wii itself.

Tiger Woods 09 Wii is by far the better game due to the accuracy of the motion controls. This also played off in the sales as the Wii version outsold the PS3 and 360 versions IIRC

Any sport doesn't look fun when one side doesn't know what they are doing... ever.

Hackers are poor nerds who don't wash.

Well seems like you just can't please everyone... it seems like everyone always have something to complain about: if controls are not accurate, if they are too accurate, if the controller looks like a dildo, if your feet smell... I for one like the accurate approach better than the wagglefest.

I never really like Wii Sports. I'm waiting for a 720 or 1080p FPS using Move, or even an Uncharted like AA game.

The title's a bit flamebait-y.

OT:

The dad was a giant prick.

How if the video shows it is truthful?

well the video only shows one part of one game.  its not like waggling works in every wii game.

This. Besides, what is this, 2006? Wii Motion Plus has been out for a year and is in the hands of 30 million gamers. Waggling was already eliminated in Wii Sports Resort, and any modern Motion Plus game. It certainly won't get you anywhere in Skyward Sword. Not sure why this is still relevant. It's like people freaking out that the 3DS is more powerful than the PSP. Well no shit, it's been almost 5 years. It damn well better be.

I wonder how this compares to Grand Slam Tennis on the Wii (or heck, compared to Wii Sports Resort Table Tennis), which uses the WM . I've heard a lot of accounts that GST has a pretty sharp learning curve, but is good fun once you master it.

Hopefully this game will prove to be the same, and allow for a great fun time. ^_^

And no, you can't just "waggle" in Wii Sports Tennis. Well... you can, but you'll lose, badly. The game recognizes things like backhand and spin. My dad had a really hard time with it at first, because he was just waggling and missing it when it came to his left side (he's right handed, so with his waggling he would continually swing his racket to the right and miss the ball. )

Wii Sports Tennis still holds up to this day, and is plenty of fun with friends.

This is how motion gaming is supposed to be.

Not a waggle fest.

I really don't see much difference between that and "waggle fests." In fact, I prefer the small refined wrist movements to waving your arms around, that stuff and get really tiring fast.

wow seriously if mimiking ping pong gets you tired you should just pawn your ps3 and get a tred mill because something is wrong. and i play actual tennis and i can legitamitely say wii tennis is prbly the gayist thing ive seen and almost a little degrading to the sport.

Some people think that the sensitivity is too realistic and that you should just go play tennis or play ping pong or play volleyball or billiards or whatever it is. But the reason a sports compilation like this is appealing is because there isn't room for a billiards table or ping pong table in my basement and there isn't a tennis court in miles. Having all these things available to me in my basement (and accurate enough to be a decent substitute) is marvelous.

I survived the Apocalyps3

it doesnt measure spin it goes off of the tilt of the waggle when the ball is hit
