AUGUST 23:  Sony said it was not possible to do 3dtv without glasses

That's because their first PR slam was really against the 3DS and Nintendo, not 3D tech as a whole. Another example of right hand (playstation guys) not knowing what left hand (tv guys) is doing.

Kind of reminds me of Sony's motion control PR, but that happened over the course of two-three years. This was a matter of days.

I think that Sony probably put a lot more thought into the whole 3d thing than Toshiba did......... and Sony probably realizes that the price of the glasses, TV's, etc will come down quickly when more people buy into it.

It just didn't take them 4 years to sing another tune.

Edit: Oh, and PSP2 will have the same 3D tech as 3DS, despite that trash talk form Sony about it being "imprecise". Sony won't risk not having such a cool gimmick that makes people go wild about the 3DS.
