It seems ever since kinect and xbox 360 slim have been announced/released wii sales went way down and 360 sales went way up? am i crazy?!?

YOY Wii is not really 'way down' as you proclaim. Its summer and no big games recently. Wii is performing as expected.

360 is up due to clearance of old skus and the slim model.

However, this holiday will prove once again that Wii is the dominant console as it trounces PS360.
