he obviously meant gay as in having an emotional and/or physical attraction to someone of the same sex.  he wouldnt have used the expression "coming out" otherwise.

OR HE MISSPELL it from cumming the expresion

Lol, I came into this thread ready to comment on gayness in what I expected to be a thread with a deceptive title that had nothing to do with homosexuality but boy was I wrong!

Well congratulations anyways, maybe now I can finally find the courage to tell my family....that I'm atheist!

...Naw, I've got the courage, but I just need to find the right wording ;)

You're a closeted atheist too? Cool, glad I'm not the only one.

On-Topic: Congratualtions leo-j, though honestly (while I know nothing about you) I never thought for a second that the OP of all those Lady GaGa threads was straight.

Well it's not like I've been closeted for my whole life or anything. It's fun to be part of a minority for once though, being the typical white boy from the suburbs that I am. ;)

It doesn't feel like it's a big deal where the whole family will rush to my side to either spit insults or pat my shoulder either, it's just something I need to let people know for whatever reason.

Point being, atheism is the religion of logic and scientific fact. There's no reason to be ashamed of what you are but it's still frightening when there are people out there who would stone you to death for what you believe in. I've read on forums about a particular girl who revealed to her family that she was an atheist and was essentially disowned and outcast as a godless heathen.

I know that won't happen to me because I know my family but it still leaves that creeping doubt fluttering around my gut. :)

Atheism isn't religion.

Legally, it is. Or do you not want the same rights as everyone else? Being a former atheist, I always considered it was a religion.

"Religion" is just a fancy word for a conglomeration of ideas. Atheism would fit the bill.

No. Atheism can be part of a religion (ie. Buddhism) but it's not one in its own right. It's simply a belief, it does not have dogma or rituals.

Straight males can like Lady Gaga, as gay men can like sports. Stereotyping is a terrible thing to do.

I support Lady GaGa the person. Not the music!
