Sony expects to sell 15 million ps3 consoles this financial year. Are they on track? How many have they sold so far? Do you think they will make it?

from april 4th 2009 to august 8ish 2009 : 1,855,516

from april 5th 2010 to august 7th 2010 : 2,575,343

tracking up but this year wont have the ps3 slim boost, but I think they can do it if gt5 and ki.. move sells decently

And real number for Sony are...

Q1 2009: 1.1M / 13M
Q1 2010: 2.4M / 15M

More than 50% up now.

move gt5 lbp2 eu price cut will help it reach 15m sales GT5 will sell loads of ps3's by itself alone

Only way it will make it is with a price cut or if they bundle every unit with GT5 and another game.  

 

Probably do 12-13mil is my guess.

Why should I dream on?  There was a price drop and a slim version introduced.   Do you seriously think it will be over 50% YOY at the end of this year?  LOL thats what you should dream on about.

there will be another price drop on september 15th in Euro, where about 2 out of every 5 ps3s are sold.

No there's not. Entry price will be same as before (299€).
