Here is my pitch for an awesome move implementation idea.
Basically you play as an unknown character shrouded by shadows, as you have lost all memory of who you are, where you are, and previous events that happened that caused your severe amnesia, you find yourself in an unknown area lost in the middle of nowhere.
The location is dark, spooky and populated by monsters and you have to navigate your way out to discover who you are, why you are there, the only clue you have is a map and a note from someone you feel is important to yourself, have you lost something dear, and REGRESSED it??
Using your move controller to determine the direction headed as it has a (magnet to help, just as a compass works), when you get close to dangers such as monsters your move will gradually change colours from green to red depending on how fast you are moving and how close you are to the danger.
Also you will be able to zoom in to your character and look at your surroundings and interact with any objects around you and look at your character to view how they feel, of course at the start they will be shrouded in shadows but as you find out more about yourself it will slowly reveal what you character really looks like.
If you are getting close to any objects you move controller will change to yellow and any objects found will be marked on your map in case you can't always hold them, as obviously you can't carry everything, you have a limit, when you pick up the item it will disappear from the map.
Your character will start off with basic weapon (axe/knife/bat) ala Silent Hill and you will have a torch to help see in the dark, obviously as you go along you will find more useful weapons and ways of lighting up your surroundings other than relying on your torch.
You will come across several clues along your travels that will help you remember what happened and what you need to do to escape your horror and discover what you have lost!!
Darth is still working on the story somewhat more but so far, the move idea sound pretty unique and I could even create a mount for the move so you could rotate it in any angle to determine your direction, of course once you get which direction you are in you can remove it from the mount and resume to using it normally (it sounds a bit awkward lol), but if anyone comes up with a better idea let me know as you just can't spin around as some angles you wont be able to see your TV.
Update - The start of the story by Darth
The game will start in a 3rd Person view, with the player in a dark area and his body is covered in shadows, so the player doesn't see the person he's playing as. Then we see the person wondering where he is in a cut scene and then he remembers, he's lost something really important to him, and he has to find it. Thats how we'll start off. My plan is to have the PS EYE actually take a stealth picture of the player
Thats basically how the story could start. When he gets out of the first level ther'll be a cut scene expanding the story more. But while playing the first level I want players to be able tho wonder what the character has lost, where they are, what they look like and so on.
I want the thing he's lost to be formed out of his interactions, that way each time someone plays the game what they have "lost" would be different, adding replay value to our game.
it's the future of handheld
