Forums - General Discussion - Lady GaGa to release new album with genre defining music

According to the pop superstar who has broken yet another record with 13 VMA nominations more than any artist in history, and is the first artist to have TWO OF HER VIDEOS nominated for video of the year in the VMAs in history, she claims that her new album is going to be innovative, and the sound is going to be "the sound of the decade", and some who have heard her album calim it's "a new genre all together, she's a legend".

"It [will be] the anthem for our generation," she wrote in March. Her recording sessions in Liverpool included "the greatest music I've ever written", she insisted. "I've already written the first single for the new album and I promise you, that this album is the greatest of my career." That is, until the next one.

Her albums to date have sold a combined total of NEARLY 17 million, and they continue to rank in the top 10 charts world wide. She is very near getting to elvis' record of weeks in the top 10. She has sold over 64 million records to date, and holds the record for the most digitally sold songs ever by a female artist with poker face, just dance, telephone, and bad romance.

6 straight #1 hits, with her latest peaking at #4. She says she has written so much music that she thinks she may release TWO albums.

Here's what some claim could be part of her album

Here's a confrimed piece to be in the new album, it's a ballad that she wrote not too long ago, and performed it live:

Westlife were massively popular like that once.

So was Elvis. And the Beatles. And Madonna. And Michael Jackson.

Wonder what happened to them.

Saw her at Lollapalooza, I was 150 feet away. Greatest live act I've ever seen, and I've seen some legends. She sang You and I and it was terrific.

Not a huge fan, but I must admit that Lady GaGa has a good bit of talent. Not my style though. Too much emphasis on the vocals, not enough on the instruments. This is generally my gripe with all pop/show tunes music. The perfect example of how to do it right is Kurt Cobain (a god among musicians). Nonetheless, those 2 songs in the OP are really good, especially the first one.

They died...

Michael Jackson was back on the upswing at the time of his death. His last album "This is it" is one of the best I've ever heard, with the exception of the remastering of Black or White.

Oh.

That second song you posted, "You and I", will be huge. Guaranteed.

Will it be the biggest launch of an album ever? What currently holds the record?
