It amazes me that there are people in this world dumb enough to think the moon landing was a hoax. The amount of evidence is overwhelming and every conspiracy nut's "proof" is easily discounted by, ya know, science.

One of my personal favorites is the "all the photo backgrounds from the moon are clearly in focus, therefore it was a HOLLYWOOD SET."

Um, focal depth doesn't apply to non-atmospheric conditions...

My favorite is the

"OMGOMG THE FLAG WAS WAVING ABOUT IN THE PHOTO BUT ON THE MOON iT SHOULDN'T = MOON LANDING FAKE!"

Or something like that...

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

Around the Network

Yes, because it's waving and not, ya know, falling because of the moon's GRAVITY.

The Military base that now sits on the old Department of Energy map with lot 51 marked on it was a lot number. the military base your referring to does have a name but military bases are not names after lot numbers, the Air Force Flight Test Center now holds the land.

ill give you a hint DET-3

Can you give me a link to what your talking about?

yes if your referring to DET-3 just go back to your link From Wikipedia. paragraph 2 you will read the official name for the military installation that sits on groom lake that was released years ago.

QUOTE

The base lies within the United States Air Force's vast Nevada Test and Training Range. Although the facilities at the range are managed by the 99th Air Base Wing at Nellis Air Force Base, the Groom facility appears to be run as an adjunct of the Air Force Flight Test Center (AFFTC) at Edwards Air Force Base in the Mojave Desert, around 186 miles (300 km) southwest of Groom, and as such the base is known as Air Force Flight Test Center (Detachment 3)

End of Quote

Detachment 3 on a official document would show as DET-3 (A simple abbreviation) followed by a building ID # then a office ID #,

the military facility base name (despite TV shows) has never hidden the name of the base. the TV show is their to show a mystery and is airing to entertain a viewing audience that's interested in the subject.

the TV show wont tell you that they know the name of the military facility and has been on public records and documents for years. they wont tell you President Clinton visited the facility and was covered by 3 network TV stations, 18 media radio networks or President Clinton acknowledges the facility in the Presidential Determination No. 95-45. then the TV show would have no mystery if they told the truth.

however it appears looking threw some old records the CIA with the U-2 program did on documents use the term Area 51 facility but never actually uses a base name just facility.

if your asking links to the lot numbers you can see below a scan of lots and areas these was made up before many military facility's had started and was simply their to give project directors a idea of the area they could use if a facility was placed on one. similar to how someone that is buying property to build a house, you would like to know your property lines. on the right side you can see a lot 51 along with other lot areas marked

next comes a scan of a document fully available on record to anyone that shows the beginning of a facility and there are hundreds more like it all threw its development on public record.

it even gives the media distributions names who was given the news back in 1955. the base has never been a secret, the Government has never kept the base a secret regardless of what Mr sunglasses said on TV. its just a place the military needs for development and when it needs some privacy.
