Faked video is faked video.

Kotaku ridiculous.

But they made some updates from the case...

Update: Some readers have pointed out that this video may be slowed to give the appearance of longer load times. Make of it what you will!

Update 2: We asked Sony about the theories that the video has been doctored to show slower load times. A spokesperson told us that no one on the GT5 product team in the U.S. had witnessed load times as slow as the one depicted in the video posted here. Has the video been altered? Was there something up with that build of GT5 that day? Does the game load its tracks that slowly? We can point to this video, cited by readers, of another pre-release version of the game loading the Nurburgring track more quickly. But we cannot confirm if the video has been altered.

Kotaku has always expressed mild negativity towards Sony in their articles ever since some incident happened...don't remember what exactly, but Kotaku leaked something when Sony had told them to keep it to themselves before the official announcement and Sony were livid....

The fact that they don't want to accept the fact that they F*d up and that people in RL don't like to move in slow mo is even more pathetic

not at all.

IGN has been saying its over rated for a while now.

Gameinformer magazine the number one syndicated gaming magazine in the world listed it all the way back at number 35 in the list of the 50 most impressive games of E3.

Kotaku is FAR from the first.  I'm not sure how long its going to take for some people to realize that GT5 isn't going to be MASSIVE.  It will be HUGE for sure, selling anywhere from 5-8 million, but IMO without heavy bundeling 10 million is out of the question.

EDIT: and I'm not trying to bash GT5 I think it will be the most impressive Racing Sim ever released so far I'm just saying that the entire Sony fanbase on this site has been gowing around talking this game up and crying foul at anyone who disagrees.  I highly doubt Kotaku is trying to be biased here.  Highly highly doubt it.

That place has so much fail sometimes, it isn't even funny.  They pretty much sabotage anything except for pictures of Japanese bar hostesses holding a DS or some crap.  The even reviewed a bag of Japanese potato chips once!!

It's kinda sad some actually would try to support this kinda of bad journalism (proven to be bad btw) just because it's not on the console of their choice..sad and pathetic imho

Well, I don't think that it is very surprising that it's hype level isn't so huge at some sites.

GT5 has been at E3 for several years now, so that some people/sites aren't impressed by it anymore is somehow obvious IMO. But what I think is even more a reason why it's hype is lower than expected is that games like GT5 can't show their potential in demos or trailers. So I think in the end many will change their opinion about it, but that's just an assumption.

OT: Kotaku's Game of the Show at E3 2010 was Dance Central..., so should anyone really be worried about what they think about GT5? (I'm not trying to bash Dance Central with that comment btw.)
