Forums - Sony Discussion - first ps move house party to be held in San Diego by tqcast

On August 21, many gamers will be hosting a PlayStation Move party thanks to Houseparty.com. TQcast was lucky enough to get chosen to host one of these events, and we have received the PlayStation Move party box packed with surprises and PS Move everything. Check it out.

The Houseparty.com party pack includes:

Two PlayStation Move controllers one PlayStation Eye Camera
Game Demos made exclusively for the PlayStation Move
Sports Champions Frisbees
The Shoot Photo Frames
PlayStation Move quick start guide and product information
2 coupons redeemable for 2 free 12 pack of Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero, or Sprite
$5 SUBWAY Card and Subway Fresh Catering Menu
PlayStation Party Pins
PlayStation Move Napkins
PlayStation Move VIP bracelets
PlayStation Move Can Grips

I guess the biggest surprise has to be the lack of PS Move Sub-controller.

They need to ADVERTISE it not have random parties, you know like have it on Tv so people outside gamers can know about it.

These and Beta Rooms are a nice start for Sony and I hope they keep em going ....

IMO I think they have something to say/announce at GC which is why they are holding back the advertising for the product

Agreed. But they'll need to expand to big stores to really make people aware of PS move. There's a rumour about it, right? I hope they do, the best way to promote Move would be making people trying it out and seeing for themselves how it works and how is different from the competition.

Anyway, both programs are a good start! When GDC will happen? What kind of announcement you are expecting them to do?

Yep there is a rumor that currently they are hiring nation wide for the second biggest marketing campaign for a playstation product

Gc not GDC....I expect some more appealing bundling choices and a possible price cut for ps3 and ps3 bundling with Move....also some new games (rumor has it that Until Dawn is the name of the 'rumored' survival horror type game which is true would definately be at GC)....I honestly think GC and TGS will be amazing this year :D

And I think if I'm not mistaken GC starts 17th this month

Oh GC and GDC are different things? lol I had no idea, really. So soon we'll find out what they are preparing, I think they'll bring different bundles (maybe with Heavy Rain? Resi 5?). Let's wait and see!

Who's having a move party in miami?

mM

coudnt they just but live demos open to the public?

all those frisbees and all those free drinks could be used for something else.

for the gt5 launch!

Being in 3rd place never felt so good

For me this kind of sounds a bit lame. House Parties with Move.....ya not exactly how I would market it.
