I prefer Gears in every single way, possible. 

Quality = Gears 3

Sales = Halo: Reach

This isn't even close for me.

Lets see...

I mean, to me Gears looks better. Everything else goes to Halo.

Lack of gameplay freedom in Gears 2 killed Gears for me that I don't think I'll even buy Gears 3. I'll prolly just rent it...6 months later.

Gears 2 was 100x better than the first one.

i didn't compare it by type,,i compared it graphics wise, how clean and sharp and polished it looks....

I had many debates about this here...and will still not back down.

Gears 2 is more cinematic than Gears 1 but the core gunplay elements of that game are far worse than Gears 1. Considering both Gears of war games have some of the worst stories and voice acting around, I don't think trading good gameplay for terrible story is a fair trade.

As far as comparing it to halo...here is a question.

Why do gears of war games feel like an abomination of user control any time you step in to a vehicle? The control scheme changes completely and it becomes a completely different videogame.

Halo on the other hand, feels and controls like halo no matter which vehicle you control.

I used to love Gears more and than I played 2 and it did not live up to my expectations.

I was sick of Halo after Halo 2, but I once I saw that reach actually had sweet visuals and that the scale of the battles was enormous I switched favor to Halo. I coan't get into online play for3rd person shooters and absolutely love online play for 1st person shooters. So I'm flip flopping back to Halos side.

Halo should win this easily considering everyones dying to get their hands on the game as it is only a little over a month away. When Gears is close more people will jump to that camp just because the got the gaming itch.

I will get both day 1, but Im more hyped for Halo:Reach, Cant wait for Gears 3 thou
