This is just a fun thread for posting your opinions of which game you think will have better visuals, better gameplay, and which one you're more excited for. We all know which one will sell the most. I'll start.

I'll give the visuals to Gears of War 3. Halo:Reach does look like its going to be a graphical powerhouse but Gears 3 looks like it could be contender for best console graphics period after watching the E3 demo. Halo:Reach obviously will have more going on screen at the same time but I still give the nod to Gears 3.

Gameplay is actually a toss up to me. I haven't been as excited for a game in a very long time as I have been for Halo:Reach, but Gears 3 looks to be the best in the series and I've always been a huge fan of Gears. Beast mode looks BEAST :)

Overall I'm most excited for Halo:Reach and probably most of that is because it comes out next month. Either way both games look to be amazing AAA titles and in the end Reach will most likely be the better game. Its great to be a 360 owner with these amazing games coming out.

Halo Reach easy, i think the new Gears look a bit boring , kinda went Lost Planet-ish.

four player coop and beast mode are going to be crazy plus graphics wise it looks the best out of all upcoming games....including gt5 (this is the part where i get bashed by sony fanboys) but gameplay and SALES certainely go to halo reach...i will be getting both but just regular 60 dollar version cause i don't believe in spending over a 100 for some random toys with gears or halo written on them...JUST THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Halo: Reach is like Halo 3, then I'm going with Gears 3. I only play the single player campaigns on my 360, so I'm basing my judgement on the offline experience and Halo has been extremely boring when it comes to campaigns. Gears is just mad fun and actually has a single player that's worth playing.

Hrmm, probably give the nod to Gears for single player, and Reach for multiplayer, and since I value multiplayer more than single player I am more excited for Reach. No matter how good a campaign is, it's hard to beat the value one gets from enjoying hundreds or even thousands of hours worth of multiplayer on a Halo game.

I agree...best example to date for me is cod mw2 which i have played for countless hours...but make no mistake....its the online that has given me replay value..the storyline was very good but it was just 7-9 hours of fun and after that it was all about boom headshot online with the intervention or the barrett..50 cal

Honesty( don't attack me) while halo reach looks awesome it's not a super super good looking game.Gears 3 however looks really good.Other than that everything else goes to halo reach for me.

did you really just compare a 3rd person shooter to a racer?why can't Gears have cars like Gran Turismo 5 :P

Halo has always been one of my favourite franchises, and is still definitely one of my top 2. I preferred the campaign in Gears 2 as it was a bit more gripping than Halo 3's but the previews of the Reach campaign look promising. However, I thought the multiplayer on Gears 2 was horrible and didn't compare to that of Halo 3, and from my experiences of Reach's beta, it seems even better. 

Still will probably end up with Gear 3 so hoping the multiplayer experience is better

Ok everyone has to stop with best graphics. It basically means a developer either chooses to do grpahics or other stuff with the power.

We should start to have a best game engine category. Because that then is relevant to every game developed not just the games where the power is thrown in one direction.

Ok, so Reach wins pretty handily.

Bungie's engine pretty much walks this in the park.

Dont get me wrong, it's ok and all to do the 12 or 15 ememy onscreen thing, with narrow playable areas and high textures everywhere. But it's just not that impressive anymore. 

Reach's Engine is so far ahead of the times. we have 60 'smarter' AI. HUGE Draw distance and massive playable areas. All with the high quality visuals they have still managed to pump into the game. Couple that with massive background battles ( talk of 200 modeled ships etc fighting in 3d ) and this will be the closest thing to your jaw falling off it will hurt.

Overall engine >>>>>>>>>>>>> Just graphics.

As for gameplay Reach wins.

Multiplayer Reach wins

Features Reach wins.

Gears 3 will be good. But Reach is shaping to be the best game this generation.
