It's extremely easy to mod a wii to pirate games. Be thankful it's just a simple update that'll take a few minutes and not make you do 50 backflips everytime to press power.
And i think it's more to wipe out your current pirate mod, rather than being a future pirate
Every time I turn on a PS3 I have to wait at least 10 minutes before I can get into a game after all the updating, installs etc.
With Wii I think Nintendo puts mandatory updates for all their big games because updates gets rid of homebrew, so If you want to play the game it will brick your Wii.
Other than that, no point.
