I now it's an oold and tired issue, but I have to wonder how Capcom feels about ditching ps3 for Monster Hunter 3, especially now after these sales. And I've always wondered how they could've handled ps3>psp integration with MHP3.

Personally I think Capcom made a big mistake there. But then, will I actually admire how they've tried to find a footing on all devices and markets and make better headway in West, I think they've made more than one eyebrow raising platform choice this gen.
MH on PSP linked to MH on PS3 with some cool mechanics would be gold dust IMHO - so obvious someone in Capcom's strategy team needs to be forced to take part in one of Japan's tough physical game shows as punishment.

One of the points of putting MH3 on the Wii was for the West. Nintendo marketed the game in the West and it sold well and is still selling. It's the most popular MH game in the West so far. In Japan, I doubt it would've sold that much more on the PS3. Remember the came game before the Slim was even out which helped PS3 sales. The game sold great, and even Capcom thinks so looking at comments from their financial reports. Capcom's decision wasn't a mistake at all.
Besides, MH3 is a good exclusive game. SB3's PS3 version is superior to the Wii one.

Not according to VGC, where the last PSP itteration ( Unite) is ahead of MHTri, and even Capcom stated that Tri had a slow start... every MH game had a slow start in the West, and its still not clear if Tri will pass the million mark...
On the other hand a PS3 version could have done FFXIII numbers in Japan alone if it managed to get some legs, and maybe even more the Tri did in the West, seeing how similary difficult games like Demons Soul managed to pull off impressive numbers... it was a failure from Capcoms part to ditch a PS platform in favor of a Nintendo one, when it comes to a main MH entry. At least the PSP version will rape the Wii version when its launched
OT: JP was waaaaay of this week, and I was shocked when I saw PD2s numbers... now they finally make sense Pretty strong week in Japan BTW
