Forums - Microsoft Discussion - To 360 RPG Fans: Culdcept Saga demo now on Xbox Live Marketplace

Culdcept was one of the greatest underappreciated games the PlayStation 2 had to offer. It was a bizarre mashup of Monopoly's property buying and Magic: The Gathering's monster battling with cards. It's really a game who have to experience for yourself to truly get a feel for.
Because of that, Xbox 360 owners are in luck today as a demo of the sequel, Culdcept Saga, is now up on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

The full game won't be released until February, but now's your chance to give Culdecept Saga a try.

If that doesn't convince you, here's what the Dashboard text has to say:
In Culdcept Saga assume the role of a young hero who can control mystical creatures that live within powerful cards. As a war ravages the countryside, it is up to you to bring peace back to the land. With powerful enemies, you must test your skills in a battle of wits at every roll of the die. In this demo, conquer the first map and battle up to three of your friends. Will you roll the six you need to pass enemy territory safely? Roll the die and find out. Make sure to strategically use your cards, too, as a well managed book of cards can get you out of many dangerous situations. Culdcept Saga combines the luck of a board game with the strategy of a trading card game. Test your skills today!Source: Here

Culdcept is awesome, but this demo was very underwhelming. A lot of the art looks to have been re-used from the PS2 version and the mechanics appear to be completely unchanged. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but in this case I think I am going to wait for the rumoured DS version before purchasing another Culdcept game...

Hates Nomura.

I'll be trying this tonight.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

I'm going to try this game out as well. I like Strategy/RPG's, they remind me of Final Fantasy combined with Advance Wars series.

How can you find out when demos are getting released? I've been anxious about the Burnout Paradise demo promised for December, but I don't know when in december, and I'm tired of checking every day, and it always seems the day I don't check is the day a good demo hits.

The new Dashboard update does make it easier to find the latest Demos, so check that out.  But if you REALLY want to know the latest on what is coming on on Live each week, the website you want to watch is:
