Forums - Gaming Discussion - EA announces CREATE a sandbox create, share and play game

For all plataforms

EA has unveiled Create, a new game that focuses on gamer creations.

Due out this November for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Mac and Wii, Create is in development at EA's Bright Light Studio in Guildford, Surrey.

"Create uses families' imaginations to develop new ways to play together that are both fun and challenging," said Harvey Elliott, vice president and general manager at EA Bright Light.

"We wanted to design a game where the entire family can explore, decorate, and solve challenges where no solution is wrong and the only limit is the imagination."

Sounds a bit like LittleBigPlanet to us.

not impressed at all.

Absolutely no personality and very weird physics.

Looks like a very crappy version of littlebigplanet to me.

To me it looks more like  fantastic contraption. Those videos look like you set it up and push go. I don't see any evidence that you control anything. But I do agree with one thing: it does look like a crappy version of fantastic contraption.

Ugh not a big fan of these "creation" games.  Or as I call it, a "do it yourself" game.  Doesn't appear to have the polish of LBP either or even other games like it.  But maybe it'll be good so will wait to judge later but not a big fan of these types so doubt interest will be that high for me.

Yay!  A new Incredible Machine

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

I dunno. This could go one of two ways. One would be that it will be a really fun game that has LBP elements but plays completely different or two, that it will be a really bad lbp ripoff game.

LBP2 will raise the bar even more though and it will make it harder for this game to succeed.

This is to LBP like Dante's Inferno to GOW....nuff said
