If this was to be releasing and be compatible with PS3, then we'll be witnessing special 3D volumetric games in our room. The device which is named as Sony Ray modeller is a 360 degree autostereoscopic display prototype. So did guess this was HuGE stuff to be announced from the Sony side.

I don't think it should be in gaming, but Sony should push to get these out as the new communication devices - start to replace home telephones

A lot of work and many years still needed for that but it's where I see these going.
