Forums - General Discussion - Top 25 Comic Book Movies of All Time

I guess I need to return my geek card, I've only seen 19 of those movies, and some I didn't even know they were based off comic books...

For those who are interested, the ones I have not seen are:

Ghostmen

American Splendor

Watchmen

Kick-Ass

Batman: Mask of the Phantasm

Road to Perdition

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

Kick-Ass was such raping of the comic.  I suggest everyone read that comic and NEVER watch the movie.  Not a bad list at all, though.

Wow really?  I loved the film.  I read somewhere it was a great adaptation of a great comic.  I trust you though, so I guess I'll have to read the comic.  It's not super-long is it?

The only reason I wanted to read the comic was because of the film.  I got the comic and I could not stop smiling.  The dialog, the pacing, the twists, the finale, it was awesome!  I saw the movie about a week later.  Maybe if I'd never read the comic, my opinion would've been different.  Anyway, get the comic (seeing the movie has blown some of the surprises).  Trust me on this one.

The movie blows TUNK!

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

What an awful list .

-.-

Why?

It’s just my opinion, but a lot of those movies (A History of Violence, 300, Blade, Batman Begins Returns) were not good and other noteworthy comic book movies (V for Vendetta and X-Men) are missing. Not having X-Men in particular is kind of bizarre being that its success and critical acclaim is one of the main reasons for the comic-book movie revival.

All of those movies were really great and alot of people would agree with me. really good list,so there. lol

Batman Beggins and Batman Returns too low, no Batman 1989 or Forever, and Spiderman too high.

That's my totally biased opinion

bad list, dark knight should be at #20 or so, couldnt stand that crap of a movie. iron man 2 , wolverine, hulk ( eric bana ),flash gordon, batman ( micheal keaton ). all those movies should be in their as well.
