Plus, my PC would probably crash if I used it to play Tetris. It's not powerful at all.

I thought it looked pretty good, not one of the best but certainly not pathetic.
That pic also looks much better than the PS3 version...
The CGI trailers are just amazing, if only the game looked that good (Bioware are SOOOO good at making these trailers, especially the TOR team)

Doesn't look better than a Source or UE3 game to me. For a game that came out not even a year ago, from a developer with a rather big budget, it's certainly disappointing.
Especially the horrible textures and bad looking characters.
Considering they built the engine solely for this game
The real question with DA:O's looks is that Mass Effect looks so much better, yet Dragon Age is the more sucessful game according to Bioware

I thought the answer simple, DA is just a much better game than ME. I don't see how looks have anything to do with how the game plays. Also it wasn't a dumbed down PC game, it was a PC game through and through with minimal dumbing down for noobs. I'm sure that helped sales a ton. It also did not feature a shitty story, but a vast world.

What I mean is that it is not like its their second franchise, so they don't invest as much in the graphics, it is their main franchise but it looks less polished than Mass Effect
I have both the pc version and the 360 version and have enjoyed the 360 version more. I think a lot of it has to do with being comfortable while playing and being able to enjoy the game on a large screen tv.

it gets pretty tactical once your mages can throw ridiculous nukes down for mixed effects, and that stuff might hit your party if you are reckless with it too. well, the PC version anyways, console version is a lot more casual friendly with that.
