Would be funnier if Reggie didn't look so causasian.
Pixel Art can be fun.

Coming from a 'reviewer' who doesn't play any other systems games, you'd know all about massaging egos. Will you be reviewing the casual Kinect games Seece? |
There's no need for that, Pyro. Seece is right - the comic is still overly wordy and too narrow in its focus.
You can have Nintendo-oiented comics from the Malstrom perspective that are still funny, but they need to be punchy.

I've already said the last time that I make these for Nintendo fans, all of my comics have been Nintendo related. I know my sense of humour is quite dry, but I really didn't know how to approach the issue. And I know I'm not the greatest artist. Drawing people, even cartoon ones, has always been rather difficult for me. My next comic, however, won't be industry related though. |
Why don't you make a fantasy nintendo comic, or one that DOESN'T bash the industry/competitors? I know you're stance on the subject, but I'm right in that it's only going to be people that think the same as you that will ever enjoy these.
I can't imagine, a strong Nintendo fan, like Smeags, would ever find these amusing (hey I could be wrong, he has the best sense of humour on this site though)
I think you could be capable of some really good work, but it's being wasted on what comes across as something a bit bitter, which is kind of sad actually
Anyway I'll leave you in peace
Keep them coming dixie, I love your handy work, they make me laugh and they are also very true, Reggie's face look hilrious too , I wonder what's next in your art line, Patcher claiming 3DS is another gimmick yet it sells more units than he's had hotpots lol
Buying in 2015: Captain toad: treasure tracker,
mario maker
new 3ds
yoshi woolly world
zelda U
majora's mask 3d

Natural ignorant response, I have no hate for Nintendo whatsoever. Not an ounce in my body in fact.

Oh is that what he said? I thought that instead of keeping quiet, he said it was preachy and looked nothing like Reggie.
Maybe we shouldn't expect a professional, political cartoonist on a VG forum.
Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)
Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!
A good topic, but i would've approached it in reverse, where Reggie speaks on Nintendo's existing lineup, but interviewers just dismiss what exists and want to keep focusing on the nonsense.
Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
I, for one, loved the punchile about Iwata being misquoted.
A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

How does this bash the competitors at all? Pleas enlighten me here as I don't see it. I also don't see any ego massaging either. It is a caricature of the typical reviewer/interviewer reaction to Nintendo games. A lot of "too cartoony", "needs to be more realistics", and Pachter's anual prediction of a Wii HD. It doesn't even compliment Nintendo on anything. I slags parts of the industry, but not in a way that insults or compliments any of the hardware or software manufacturers.
I have to agree with Khuutra that it is a bit too long winded. Comedy always works better when you can get a few quick jokes in. The final punchline was good, but you had a bit too much build up. You could probably condense the whole of it down to 3 or so panels.
Criticism aside it is good work. The drawing looks good by my standards and the joke behind it all is solid. Just needs a bit of refinement on delivery which is always the hardest part.

Well, I know that my humour and writing is not perfect, but I really wasn't too sure about how to approach this issue. I made several alternations while making this, but I still didn't quite get it the way I wanted it.
