Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Wii Dis-recommendation Thread

Sam and Max: Beyond Time and Space.  It's only $20, but it's obvious from the horrible lag and choppiness that the price tag comes from putting no effort into it.

Little king story had a few issues like controls but i wouldn't put it into a not buy list personally, I think the good points oiverwhelm the negative in the case of lks. I think the latest lara croft, crash and spyro games would be a good start for a not too buy list.

My personal disappointments with Wii games:

MarioKart Wii - unbalanced, casualy retarded and less fun than Wacky Wheels from year 123

No More Heroes - when I first played the game I thought it was a joke, sorry but this hommage to 8 bit times did nothing for me

MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

I wouldn't dis-recommend anything, though i would provide caveats for Crystal Bearers. Just don't go in expecting anything Final Fantasy or Crystal Chronicles out of it.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Super Monkey Ball: Step 'N Roll

More annoying then Banana Blitz and the Balance Board controls are WAY oversensitive.

I agree with both those games. The Wii Monkey Ball games just don't have the same "Umph" that the Gamecube games had.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I'm going to call on both Dead Rising and Nights as this. I have them both, and while they have their flaws, they have their strengths as well. So they belong more in situational recommendations. Like if you found the original Dead Rising to be not enough about directly confronting the zombies, and the controls sucking, CTYD is a good alternative, but I can't recommend it if you like the sandbox and exploration of the original more. Nights is a good game to just relax, take in the atmosphere, and try to beat your best times, but don't expect anything like the more intense flying games.

The Conduit is also situational. While the control is pretty great, the overall game made me glad I got it on a lower price. If you can't get this for $20 or less, I can't recommend it.

As for a direct disrecommendation, I put We Cheer 1, if you actually want that kind of game. Go for the sequel. It has more options, and better calibration, so you can match the controls to your personal speed better.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

It was just too hard, but in a bad way. The puzzle weren't logical and you had to do trial and error to complete them.

Red Steel 2, waste of $60.
No replay value, very repetitive.

I own all of lastgen systems as of October 2008. (Finally got a Dreamcast)

I own every currentgen system except PS3.
