very nice sales.

Others region will be interesting to watch.

lol @ the underpant gnomes. So that is phase 2....

I found that picture around the net, when I was writing in another thread, and it made me immediately spring to mind some convoluted or just demented plans two well known and totally opposite analysts claim Nintendo is following or should be.

Looks like the only significant boost in the States was for Fifa WC software wise, obviously across both platforms.

I completely underestimated the purchasing power of 360 owners....which is sort of silly of me now that i think about it, based on how much software 360 owners gobble up.

The 360 is by far, imo, th emost "hardcore" gaming console ever created.....software attach rate is amazing, and it looks like a lot of owners just love the upgraded console. These sales for America are pretty insane.

Very nice 360 sales. Not bad sales all round really considering this is normally the slow period.

However it just makes me wonder a bit more about the EU numbers for 360. How is it in US 360 just outsold WII and PS3 COMBINED but yet it sells in the 30's in EU?

I mean i would understand if that was Japan where 360 is not always desirable but in EU it is very similar to US, the markets are almost the same.

It would be good to get some clarification on those numbers and see if it is now because of arcades and elites selling out in various places?

Awesome XB360 in America, I guess at least there the sales surge after Slim launch will last more than average before settling around a number that will be higher than that before Slim anyway, just like it happened to PS3.

Nintendo should worry now, because after all the fuss it's doing about glasses-free 3D, it won't be able to launch Wii2 until a glasses-free tech is available and affordable for home TVs, so it must just hope Wii sales hold enough.

I love how people make a comment like this every time the Wii is outsold for 1 week. Nintendo has NOTHING to worry about they are ahead of Microsoft by about 32 Million and Nintendo should worry? I am not offended or mad I just always find posts like this funny Lol.

I would put it equal to Nintendo 64 in Americas.

WTF, 360 is alive in Japan.  Very impressive

I really think now its because of the Slim moreso than the pricecuts. Look at software, no bumps for Red Dead, slight bump for FF, could be from discounted bundles i guess....but really no big software increase even with an extra almost 100k from its normal selling point.

I always though the bump was from $150 entry price, but i underestimated how much 360 owners reallylove their gaming as apparent by the huge spike.

I think the numbers shed some light onto price point saturation. Price just simply isnt a factor anymore for the 360 since its been $199 for a while in the states and less in EMAA if im not mistaken. I expect now when the Slim is released in EMAA to have an even greater effect then we see now with discounts.

MSFT will likely notice this and begin driving feature driven updates moreso than price battles....great for them since theyre making money on the hardware.

As I answered another person some posts before this, I was intentionally exaggerating, but while it's
sure that Ninty hasn't anything to worry if it just wishes to remain 1st, instead, with Wii down YoY and finally PS3 and XB360 too up, it will have to bite the bullet if winning isn't enough and it wants to overkill like in the past.
