All the big things were ended. The main enemy's were defeated. What's left?

1. Resurrection of Air nation, if possible.

2. Immediate collapse of world as central power was defeated. Avatar would need to move around, defeat pockets of chaos and restore peace and order.

3. Rebuilding of Water/Earth nations to their former greatness.

4. Assistance in helping Fire nation normalize and retract from decades of militaristic approach and control.

There are ton's of side stories that could be explored. However, they may not have the same appeal as the first, unless a primary antagonist was developed. Some major fire nation war lord maybe?

XD Maybe that crazy bitch Azula will escape. Her character became really interesting during the last few eps.

Add on: Azula escapes and forms a new Fire Nation with soldiers and citizens that were loyal to the old Fire Lord.

The war was going on for over a Century, so I doubt everyone in the Fire Nation was happy about it ending with a loss.

And maybe they're explain what the hell happened to Jet. That shit was annoying.

It's implied that Jet was really dying. What's left to tell.

The problem with rebuilding and such, is that it's boring. Low-action, baby. There needs to be a clear protagonist.

A civil war in the fire nation with Azula is the best possible enemy. But that sounds like a cash-in.

Besides, the main character has achieved the 'full avatar-zone'  What's left for Aang to become... to strive too?

Face it. The Avatar-story is pretty finished.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

The creators have since established that Jet did die. I think they left it ambiguous because of how low the bottom end of their target audience is. I think the purpose of parodying it later was to give the older audience a better feeling of resolution, but their later comments should still be enough for anyone curious.

I am still at a loss for why people in this thread are paying any attention to this. The guy doesn't even claim there is a season 4 coming. Just that he thinks there should be one. The series is over. You could probably get one more book out of it with re-establishing the Air Nomads, but it would be hard. There is no villain left that could stand against Aang. The strongest fire bender on his absolute best day couldn't even scratch him, and then had his bending ripped out. Azula would get the same treatment if she got to be a problem. The dangling plot threads annoy me as well, but they will never be resolved. There just isn't enough left to make a compelling sequel.

Oh I see, the creators explained that he did in fact die in the Avatar Extras. Seems Nickelodean didn't want to show kids getting killed outright. That's been bugging me for years.

The Air book could be an animated movie/special with Aang trying to find a way to re-establish the Air Nomads. With him being the last Air bender, the balance just seems off. Oh well.

what about zuko's mom fate?

that still doesn't warrant another season.

I'm happy. but concerned, since the third chapter concluded the story nicely.

Yeah, it seems Nickolodeon arehesistant to show death.  Cartoon Network are more willing to show death in their shows.  The Clone Wars in particular.

No one is claiming they are making a fourth season! NO ONE! Read the links people. This will just lead to a lot of heartbreak.
