hey guys, does this game play well with using a ps3 controller? i'll have to wait for the ps3 version since my laptop cant run the pc version. i used to play FF11 a lot so i know how the pc controls work.

yeah there is nothing wrong with running it VGA. I did for awhile as well. You might just have to run it at a different resolution then your PC monitor.

Yeah i found it plays very smoothly with a controller. IMO i prefer using the PS3 controller rather then the keyboard and mouse for now. I'd probably recommend Keyboard and mouse for macros late in the game. This early in the game they arent really required and you can set the macros to the controller too if you want.

As you well know, the CE releases tomorrow.

I have yet to get a chance to look this up. what do the astrolgical signs and gods/goddesses have to do with the creation of a character - how do those choices effect you?

And, anyone know if gamestop having a midnight launch? I'd like to install and download my updates overnight >_>

Im in Australia. I have it sitting here and already installed. I am just waiting for Japan to go live at 9am their time which is only 20 minutes away for me (9:40am here)

I'm leaning towards Lindblum - since it was a city in my favorite FF game and an airship in my 4th favorite game

Lindblum is a good server though its going to be quite busy there. FFXIVcore.com players are going to be on that server.

Thats why i went with Trabia. I want a quiet server for the start.
