While i dont know about these screens (bull or not) I am sure it will look great never the less. Here a infamous 1 compared to 2, for those that dont know or would like a refresher.

Even so, it's still open world game and yet it looks on par with the best looking linear games. But one can allways hope right?

I just hope that they nail the gameplay from first inFamous and that the second one will have the same quality increase as UC2 had over UC1.

On a kinda side note what do you guess think he carries in that shoulder bag of his? Also do you think shoulder bags will make a comeback when infamous 2 releases?

After reading a few interviews with SP, it seems that they spend over 3 years on the first inFamous and have been on the sequel for over a year now.  They mentioned that they had started pre-production work on the sequel before the first game shipped.  Also don't forget that the game engine was probably more or less finalised (bar a few final tweaks) for the first game, so time before the game shipped, so they could have had between 1-2 years to enhance their game engine in preparation for the sequel.

If you look at the differences in other companies game engines from their first PS3 games (Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Guerilla), then you can see how more advanced they have become.  I wouldn't be surprised if they spoke a bit with Naughty Dog over their engine, but if I'm being totally honest.  I wouldn't expect anything less than a big move forward for their game engine seeing as they were just dipping their toes into what the PS3 can do with the first game.

he didn't even list numbers, and I sure hope he didn't mean the first iteration of those games since they didn't even look as good as inFamous.

it looks good not uncharted 2 good but good, it's a pity that the images are so low quality if they weren't compressed so much it would probably look much better, the JPEG artefacts really mess up the the image and blur fine details.

Its only the "year of Sony" if your a Sony only fan. If your a 3 console, 4 with PC, owner like myself its not the year of Sony, or 360 or Wii. PS3 is not the only system with great games and not even the system with the best games. Thats all opinion.

So anyways be happy about your beloved PS3 but please leave the other consoles out of it cause you sound like a bunch of fanboys.

Sorry about off topic but on topic i can't wait for this game. Now back to playing Infamous 1.

PS: My RDR post was not a real serious post. While I was, and still am, anoyed at some of the multi plat games being worse looking on the ps3 its no biggy relly. I bought a PS3 for games like Infamous, Demon's Souls and MLB 10 The Show...and these games look amazing so im happy.

Will probably be a jaggie fest just like the first InFamous.

I'm pretty sure those screens are heavily doctored. Just look at the InFamous screens JamaicameCRAZY posted. It's not even close to what it looks like when you play the game (and I finished and loved it).
