Forums - Sony Discussion - Move games playable with 1controller like Wii

^^ There is a big difference in being affraid and pointing out the limitations of technologies that are supposed to surpass Wii's motion controls.

I think Move and Kinect are cool, but if you market them as superior to Wii motion/motion plus you have to at least suprpass them in the basic setups. For sxample the couch problem with Kinect and 4 players mutiplayer with motion and navigation on Move. These two are basic on Wii and people are used to it.

Some say it will be fixed on time, but on Wii it was present since the reveal of teh system. So you see that marketing is hiding the basic limitations not present on Wii in order to make it sell, but many consumers will point that out.

Pachter recently priced Move in order to enjoy all of Move's games you will have to shell out 180$

100$ (Camera , game and one Move controller)

50$ (Another Move controller)

30$ (Navigation controller)

But then lets not forget the charger since you can't charge any of these controllers without it, thats another 30$.

Who in their right mind would pay 210$ for something they get on Wii for free? Plus I can't see many people being happy when they buy Move and realize that it requires two controllers for most games. Sure a few will support a single controller but my bet is many won't. Its bad news for the consumer!

Actually you can charge the Move controllers just fine with the standard USB cord that comes packaged with the PS3.

Also, even though it is probably not as easy to use, the Dualshock can be substituted for the Navigation controller.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

whoever has that many friends who wanna be cramped into such a tiny space whilst playing that needs to get out and about, this whol wii baiting is getting out of hand, oh wait mods do it as well, i guess i am doomed having 8 player or four player support is not a definitive issue having enough for 2 will ensure the ps move's sucess, just admit  it wii boys you are afraid....

Having three of my friends over with their girlfriends last weekend, I can say that 8 player Driift Mania fit the bill rather nicely. It was simple enough for everyone to get involved, and no-one was forced to sit out and watch.

I agree with the_walker. Why is it acceptable that Sony and MS get a pass in regards to technical limitations, but if it was a Nintendo product there would be a storm?

Move has players limits and Kinect has potential player limits but currently has sitting limits. The more we here about the tech the more little bits of flaws exists. bah hypocrisy.

To experiance the games in the way they are meant to be played you require a second controller and in some cases the Nav controller. Which in the end boosts the cost up to 180$

IMVHO Sony will better release bundles with 4 controllers, or the amounts devised as most appealing (both complete sets with camera and all the necessary and add-on kits with just the extra controllers), at very attractive prices. Or even licence the tech to 3rd parties. I'm wondering whether the implementation would allow to make a "navigator" with some motion control features like the nunchuck or it's too late or too complicated. It shouldn't be expensive, the issue is just the complication. Or maybe a version of the Move with an analog stick...
