You do realize that there are editors out on the PC that do even more than this? They have also existed for over a decade now too. All in all, the editor did not impress me in the least bit, and I hope the gameplay is better than what LBP had.

yes i do realise that GMOD existed ages ago,  your point?

They weren't GOTY material back in '98 no reason for inferior editors to be GOTY material in 2010, or be so impressive.

The game is going to be great...there are very tallented level creators out there from what I've seen from the first LPB. I hope they kept the same style of music! I lvoeed the soundtrack of the first one.

At some point, something must have come from nothing...

Actually GMOD won lots of rewards...

if you are trying to look like a "PC Done it AGES ago" guy , please do some research, or actually play PC.

You do realize that editing games have existed since DOOM right? All those player created levels and stuff have been around since then. It did not however win any rewards because of the modability. Then you had Quake, UT, and HL as well as all those RPGs like NWN. None of those games won because of their editors, they won because they were really good by themselves and the editors were the cherries on top.

As I can recall LBP was an editor with gameplay as an afterthought (why else would sackboy be more phlegmatic than people with Parkinson's). If all LBP2 has is an editor then it is not really impressive, in fact it is just now barely catching up to what game editors are. Certainly not GOTY material.

And Mass Effect 2. But there's still lots of time 'till the year ends, so this speculation is pretty pointless...

Good thing LBP2 has the gameplay to back it up then. Its gameplay is in no way an aftethought, I had tremendous fun with the first game despite never creating a level.

Even if they fixed the broken gameplay of the first one this one still has to go against Galaxy 2, and I highly doubt that it will be that good.

It had some issues, but it certainly wasn't broken.  Yes it probably won't beat Galaxy 2 for GotY but since I don't think you've played either I really don't see what you are basing the comparison off of.

...

I'd like to see how you can make a RPG with this.

I asked Alex about that, it's in my preview for LBP2.  But anyway he told me that noone at MM had made such a level yet, but he theorized that you could be direct controlling the character and make an experience bar using holographic material.  Once the experience bar was filled you could change the properties of the direct controlled vehicle/character.
