Ever since E3 thread after thread has been written revealing glitch after glitch from the Kinect thinking someones two inches taller or shorter to not being able to sit down to the disaster at last E3's avatar showing. I noticed watching E3 that most of the demo's shown were not really live for example Konami's dance game I thought at the beginning that they were really dancing like Dance Central till one of them got up and left mid game and the game kept playing.

On the floor Kinect wasn't playable and from what I've heard their was barely any showing of actual gameplay and a person demoing the technology. When their was for example Felicia from UbiSoft the Kinect screwed up and thought she was two inches smaller or taller. People who did go hands on with Kinect have complained of lag and glitches.

At last E3 Kinect was shown being played while people were sitting down. However as IGN/Kotaku revealed it doesn't appear that Kinect at the moment can be played sitting down due to technical malfunctions. Calibration supposedly. So the product itself is glitchy at best right now and most fans expect Microsoft to fix these glitches by launch in November.

But what if the glitches and calibration issues are not fixed come launch in November? Will you still buy it?

There will always be glitches. Every piece of tech out there right now has glitches. Every piece of tech released will have glitches. You need to be more specific with your question.

For me personally the no sitting is an absolutely deal breaker. I can't always stand for long periods of time. Sadly the path of 1:1 or other types of motion controls seems to be trying to push me out of gaming. I have always been able to deal with waggle, but I can't keep up with full motion, or holding my arm that still for any length of time. It makes me sad to see gaming trying to go mainstream by excluding large groups of people.

Not all tech has glitches I don't recal any hardware glitches on DreamCast , Nintendo 64, Nintendo GameCube , Nintendo Wii or Nintendo DS. And if you don't consider RROD and over heating power boxes then no hardware glitches on X-Box or 360. Or how about the new I-Pad haven't heard of glitches there?

I can't recal the last time I bought a system with glitches or a controler for that matter. The Wiimote wasn't glitchy and neither was the touch pad on the DS. Not all new technology has many glitches. If their are many noticable glitches with the Kinect then in my opinion it should be delayed till they get worked out.

IGN wrote an article saying they couldn't sit during the hands on games they played...(forza, kinect sports, your shape)  of course you shouldn't be sitting for sports or your shape but the forza game you should.  Microsoft contacted IGN and told them you will be able to sit while using kinect...for example movie watching and other things you should be sitting for.

The original post also says kinect wasn't playable at E3...it was, vgchartz even has some youtube footage posted.

N64 had a weird glitch where it could cause all the characters on screen to spaz out and dance around. Most famous in Golden Eye. I could list other systems, but it would involve a lot of firmware hacking and the like (TP save etc). Thing is when a bit of hardware is well built the end user will never encounter them. None will occur under normal operations but they still exist. Much the same way all software has bugs but you are not likely to encounter them.

i never wanted natal in the first place so i think ill pass

I can't imagine gaming whilst sitting. I can't believe anyone else would either. Talk about totally coming up with every single corner case you can think of in order to discredit Kinect!

Tease.

For some reason, although there may be situations of glitches, I suspect there is a gross exageration of problems with Kinect resulting in an over representation of a systemic problem.  I'm certain (hopefull) all will be fine by release and any minor glitches, if any, will be quickly resolved by updates.
