This is great news! It's definately not over $100 then.

Maybe $79? I hope so.

I'm hoping also about £80 in the Uk... that is almost HALF the £150 that it costs to get enough MOVE kit for 2 people.

MOVE:

Camera and Move bundle £49.99   another Move £39.99 2 x Move Nav £59.98

= £150 (ish)  or for comparison is $222 !!!! (including taxes)

So £90-ish for two controllers and a camera, if you settle for DS3s instead of Nav controllers.

i guess... though why anyone would want to compromise like that just to win a price argument is beyond me.

Sony designed the DS3 and the NAV.... so they clearly think

the
the NAV is the right and best solution.

Of course they do, and I don't see why anyone should disagree with that, but using the DS3 isn't bad enough to make me buy a Nav controller if I have just one Move game that uses it, for example. If I'm short on money, I still don't have to buy a Nav controller, because the DS3 will do well enough.

You think they're only gonna bring out one move game that makes good use of the nav? Maybe you should think again before buying move if you're that pessimistic.

Predict Kinect price everybody!

59.99 and will come with 2 games and a xbox arcade

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

I'm not, I'm just giving examples. What about the family that buys the Move to play TV Superstars and Start the Party, will they buy a Nav controller if they get one game that uses it? I don't know, but they certainly don't have to.

He doesn't really say that its cheaper than the competition, does he? It kinda depends on how they view the tech themselves, they're probably thinking that Kinect is more bang for the buck than simple controllers you wave around and a statement like "very pleased with out position" is cryptic and unintelligible at this point.

By all means, it could cost around 100$ for all we know but I somehow doubt it, especially seeing the price of the upcoming slim bundles and adding the fact that games and gear always comes cheaper in bundles.

We'll see. In the end though, it doesn't matter a whole lot for me, I won't be getting neither Kinect nor Move any time soon. Could prove to be entertaining watching reactions when it does release though and I am genuinely excited about how it will perform on the market, Kinect and Move will likely help set the premises for MS and Sony's next generation of hardware!

I think i read an interview where Aaron Greenburg (MS) was saying that they were "looking into" coming out with a cheaper Slim Unit, which means it wont have all the same internal components as the currently released slim.  And knowing Microsoft, they're gonna find ways to cut the costs so they can sell it at profit or break-even. Also the fact that they are now allowing external USB flash drives to essentially replace the need for hard drive makes me feel that they are gonna continue with a hard-drive-less SKU to give them the advantage of lowest-entry cost SKU.

If I was MS, i would introduce the new Slim SKU for $150 around early fall (in time for Halo Reach), and cut the Elite SKU by $50 to $250 for a $150/$250 tiered pricing; then introduce bundled Kinect SKUs for $250/$350 with Kinect's launch (Nov 4th)

well the was a rumor saying under 50 pounds(70$? i think), it listed november release and 14 launch titles which turned out to be true so far.

i think it will be 69.99$ with a game and 50$ for standard Kinect titles.

No but if you really think Sony are going after the casuals with the games they've shown and a $400 PS3 bundle you're wrong. They can get that with wii ... they're not going to care it's HD.
