I think it is the old cast, but after a long break it takes some time getting back into the same voices, or maybe they settled into new ones.

Regardless, Futurama is back and the world is awesome again!

Yeah, but before then it had been a while, and their voices were a little different in the movies too. I'm guessing they've settled into new ones by now.

True, as Family Guy's voice acting was different between the 2002-2005 hiatus. Still, I remember seasons 1, 2 and 3 sounding different and they were one after the other.

True, but it takes time to settle into the right voices. Some came quickly, like Zoidberg, Leela and Fry while the Professor took ages to really get that old-man voice.

I've been watching the show in preperation.  Although this time more focusing on the special features including the playthough of the video game.

This was the only western animated show that kept me entertained during it's whole airing except for Simpsons, no other have done the same for me and I even think that Futurama is better. You just can't beat Zoidberg :)

I'm excited.  I didn't think the first couple of movies were very good, but I thought the last one felt like the writers and actors were getting back to their old form.  I hope that carries over to the new season.

to me, it felt like they weren't used to making two hour long movies, and were more used to the shorter 30 minute episodes, where they didn't have to drag on on one subject or idea.
